I was born on either one, two, three or four wheels, can't remember which. My first "competitive" cycling took place in the woods a hundred yards from my home, about ten of us used to race our "scramblers" around a short loop until we were about 15 (so 1965 ish). Bikes were standard single speed, steel tourers with trials motorbike handlebars. At 16 I started racing Cycle Speedway and have been in love with it ever since. It's hurt me a lot since then. I got my first "real" mountain bike in 2000, and it's the only hardtail MTB I've ever owned, a Univega Flyte 730. Got into XC and Trail Centre riding back then and have been going at it ever since, learning nothing new and still scared of jumps. I started the Newcastle Mountain Bike Club proper in 2007 and launched the midaircrisis.com web site aka Newcastle Mountain Bike Club (NMBC). MTB has also hurt me a lot, but I love it.
Hi mate, so sorry I didn't reply sooner. Anyway no, the old bushes on mine were horizontally split so I just levered them off the roll bar with a big flat bladed screwdriver.
Hi I can't put back the bolts when the new rubber is between the brackets, I can only screw one and can't screw the other because the 2 brackets are too far from one another. I managed to do one side of the vehicle but impossible to do the other side... Do you please have an advice for me? Shiuld I put both sides of the vehicle on a Jack? Thank you much
