Nothing quite like a video with obnoxious background "music" drowning out the speakers. When you opened the hoods I expected to see the engines, not just the air cleaners. Amazed that Mr Leno let you interview him, but he's a great enthusiast.
I've always been a fan of Tigers, about 15 years ago I wanted a small car/V8 combo and Tigers were already too pricey for me, so I built a custom chassis/suspension, SBC (400hp), 4-speed MGB--hard to beat a small, light (2350lb) car with a V8, Tigers were definitely ahead of their time
Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime (BABVVEN, TEBBVEN and SCHLABOUBVEN laws)
@@mjh5437 I can see that. The wind blowing through that car was deafening at highway speeds. I was a kid then but it felt like we were going 100 mph while actually doing about 60mph. A woman with a fancy hairdo wouldn't want to ride in those cars. But hey the Vega was a POS too until you put a V8 in it too.
I was at Laguna Seca in 2006 when he won that race and went on to win the championship that year. The Honda 990 RC211V he rode that year is still the greatest MotoGP bike ever made. The V-5 engine was the most amazing sound I've ever heard. I went back to Laguna in 2007 when Honda tried to cram Nicky on that 800 they made for Pedrosa. Nicky got a good start but he and Hoppy hit each other in the first turn and Stoner ran away with it.
Good video. Music is fine. You could do a follow-up with some more workshop action? I presume he is wheeling the body panels....I would love a speedster but saw the remains of a burnt out fibreglass version .....not a pretty site....so these make much more sense although the man hours will reflect the price.
