Just took mine up to some awesome rivers in NH. Thing is so cool looking going up river. I did break one half of a trim tab so need to fix that but otherwise very cool! Oh and I hit a rock and it flipped and I had to chase it down river with no shoes. Getting some water shoes next lol. If they come out with another version that’s stronger I’m in for sure!
I see plenty of times rc off roader owners who proud of his work, but that is only worse than factory setup... But this suspension really handles better the rough surface ! Nice work!
Nice mod.😎👍 I love the mini lmt, however the quality and design just isn't quite there imo. My whole cage is twisted and out of alignment making it a nightmare to get on everytime, having to bend the cage to get it to seat properly so can turn tabs. I don't really struggle with the tabs moving, I do struggle getting the cage untwisted one side. Tried loosening, tightening, bending here and there as much as dare but still way off. Probably end up adding spacers and longer screws to try straighten. Hate to say it but that cage gives me cheap toy feel, not the precise "expensive" model feel I expected. 🤷♂️ All being said... sun is out and off to play with it 😂❤
Where did you get your transmission, underdrive gears and high clearance links? My Custom Jeep CJ-7 Ryft Build needs all these next 😊 it's got everything else and some now 👍 yours is so very capable we should crawl together someday 😊
The trans is a 3 gear off Amazon, the $60 one. Underdrive gears are Incision I believe and the links were made by Center Of Gravity RC, they have a facebook page.
I got a pair if jetco rockforms for my sledge the one on the front were realy bad, once you throttled up on the bench the front suspension was bouncing up and down over an inch . Left a bad review then powerhobby contacted me and sent a new pair and they were good. I realy like the jetco tires even though there very heavy belted tires
Great video! I'm thinking of getting one now that the price has dropped a bit. I enjoy scale driving vs full-on bashing. Have you tried the ARRMA Fireteam? It's huge, but it looks more scale and, therefore, more fun. Many owners(who own multiple trucks) have stated it is more fun than most. We have ticks real bad down here in Missouri, as well. I hate it, because I can't enjoy my own woods except in the middle of winter. I've been trying to build trails but time is hard to come by.
I don’t have a fire team but my buddy does and it’s a great truck. The RZR is my favorite 1/10 Losi Rey. Hammer Rey is good too but the RZR handles much better. Watch out for ticks! Use repellent and check yourself after. I’m in the woods a lot lately, so far so good.
The terràin is absolutely epic mate, wish i had something like that near me. The Vanquish is super capable, shane we cant see to get them in the UK (think)
I might have to get that bell crank for my newest Super Rock Rey build. I finally pulled the trigger on getting the entire Vitavon package for it but i am pretty sure the list of parts didnt have the bell crank in it. Comes with wheels, arms, hubs and knuckles, rear axle housing, transmission case, idler gear, rear spool, trailing arms, shock tower...i cant recall what else came in it but as i said, not too sure the bell crank was included. I want to swap out the Spektrum Electronics and was considering either the MMX8s (leaning more towards this one) or the Old Dynamite 160 amp that i have found thats new in the box. I also want it to be sensored but i may be pushing it there. I also have a 70kg 1/5 servo i might put in it but was debating on getting something a little better quality like i use in my 5ive T. Possibly may even put a Reefs 2000 or 1000 in it but im not sure i want to go that route. The S9120BLi use in my 5T has 1453.5 ounce inches on 8.4 volts and thats the one i am leaning towards. $224 for that servo though which would push the SRR over the $3k mark. I still need tires so i dont have to unglue the ones currently on it (still brand new) and i can use those tires on one of the other 2 SRRs ive got. Im unsure if i want to go with the Hyrax, stock tires, or something else. Blah blah blah Anyways, is Eviratrue an off brand of Vitavon? Yesterday was the first time I found out the brand exists.
Wow, going to be a killer build. As far as I know, Eviratrue is completely separate from Vitavon. I'm in contact with the owner and hes been sending me stuff to test and review so I should have more vids coming. They make some really nice parts
Nice, enjoy! It’s a really fun truck. Double check the set screws on the front cv axles. If the come out easy, put some threadlock on them. If they are really tight, don’t mess with them.
laying the shock flatter should make it stiffer. So if you go to the outside on the arm to the furthest inside on the upper mount that should provide you the stiffest setting It can also offer more wheel travel depending on the setup.
Shock vertical gives you full spring rate, any lay down gives you more axle travel in relation to spring compression so it acts as if the spring is softer. Think of it like this, if you put the shocks where the lower links are, they would swing up and down instead of compress. That’s extreme but the closer you get to flat it has the same effect. The shock end swings up and down and compresses less.
avoid the aluminum a arms like the plague. The rear housing and trailing arms have been great but the front arms literally just kept breaking the bulkhead and bending the pins even without crashing.
@@rcilluminati26 you've got a set of headlocks and tires on yours now right? Do you recall what set you have? I picked up a Amazon set and the hexes wouldn't hold up on a hobbywing 3200kv system on 3s.
Are those grub screws going into metal or plastic ? Because if it's screwing into plastic, the chemicals in thread locker will swell and melt plastics, which will cause big headaches in short order. If it's metal on metal, you're good to go 👍🏼
The stock tires on this rig have taken down every line, in the valley here in Idaho Falls ID. My goto tires are the stock traxxas S1 Canyon Trail all terrain tires. Because they have also taken down every line. I believe that your tires make the truck!!! Take the stock tires and scrub them in on a rough concrete surface, then they get magical. Mine did anyways.
Sounds like a lot of valid observations, hopefully ProBoat will address these in an updated version of the boat…I’ll wait to see if improvements are made before I buy one…which I was ready to do until seeing this…thanks for the info…
I put stuffed some Injora green inserts in some Ruptures, I took then back out because there was no challenge to my lines at all. So I stuffed then greens in the stock tires and currently breaking them in. At the moment, I'm getting the challenge I'm looking for.
