well as long as you don't forget to give credits, or put a link to this video somewhere in the description of your webseries, i'm okay with it. though if you don't especially want to give any credits, than i would recommend you'd at least by the track on bandcamp (for only 1$). this will give you the music file as a download and you'll be free to do anything you want with it as you'll have already shown support. thanks for the compliment, it kinda was my objective to hit around that Y2K style especially on the second bridge section of the music ^^. anyways, whatever you do, i wish you the best of luck with your project !
the funniest thing is that, the first time i played this game, the entire original game soundtrack sounded nostalgic to me for some odd reason too. i think it was mostly because of the instruments used and also the chords and melodies that are played, like a lot of other well known japanese game series do. but yeah, thanks for the comment btw !
thank you very much ! you're the third person to tell me you prefer this version over the normal one ^^'... i actually know the Super Ultimate album, i love Monstrum Spectrum's version in this one. but what do you mean by "Jindo" ? did someone with this name made a bigger version of the album or something ?
@@baukodot Yukihiro Jindo is the sole arranger of the Ys IX Super Ultimate album, where he rearranged some of the game's tracks, both music of his such as "Glessing Way" as well as Sonoda, Unisuga and Singa's tracks from that game, and your version reminded me of Yukihiro Jindo's orchestral arrangements, like something that could be in that arrange album.
ooh i see. thank you for sharing these facts, i just love to discover such things when it comes music and soundtrack, especially with japanese game composer or sound teams. all of it it's very interesting and it actually want to take a deeper look at the album now (because besides Monstrum Spectrum, i haven't listened to the all the tracks in it).
My favorite game of all time and you have some serious talent! You should absolutely make Schala's Theme and Kingdom Of Zeal. Liked and Subbed good luck!
thank you very much ! i'll keep these names in mind ^^. edit : i listened to the two tracks and they are incredibly beautiful. i should check on this game's soundtrack a lot more often, they really represent half my tastes in videogame soundtrack composition ! i'll see what i can do with those two, thanks for the recommendations and also thank you very much for subscribing by the way !
i updated the video description to include the list of all the plugins and instruments i used in this project. feel free to ask me any other questions if needed.
Youre crazy for thinking you lack skill in production. I'll never have this much patience to reproduce an entire piece like this. I'm going to be referencing this video forever. You even did automation on your instruments. I'm too lazy to do that even! This is incredible work,. Don't stop making music. Also, are the Taiko drums built into FL or is that a VST? Thanks.
wow, thanks for sharing such a lovely feedback QwQ the library i used for the taiko drums is a kontakt vst called "Taiko Creator", i need to edit the video's description to add a list of all the vsts and plugin i used for this production.

you're question is relevant ! since it's something i thought i'd do, i'll edit the description and add all the plugins and libraires i used (if i find the time). but for now, i can already tell you most of the instruments i used are kontakt soundbanks.

funny enough, i never played the game either ^^'... i just heard a lot of orchestral covers of it's soundtrack. and after hearing the original version of this track, i thought i'd try making my own orchestral cover of it. and, regarding the mixing, i'm not a pro. i think the reason why you think it sounds so well is probably because the instruments i used are high quality kontakt soundbanks (that my pc can barely run 💀). i have no experience in mixing and sound design, so i didn't do much. personnaly, i don't even think the mixing sounds professional at all, i think it could really be better. but i guess the more i use fl studio, the more i'll get comfortable with mixing.
@bauko. that's awesome! Lol there are tons of shows and games I love the music from that I've never played. Ah that's cool, I guess some of these vsts are so good that they needn't be tampered with much to sound great. I must look into kontakt, although I've got a laptop so maybe they'll break it lol
big soundbanks like the ones i use require a f*** ton lot of space storage, a lot of ram and usually a decent cpu. if your laptop doesn't have these, you may struggle with kontakt vsts... i used to work on a laptop, it was the first pc i've ever had. and using these kontakt soundbanks on it was a real pain in the ass. still, when you know some soundbanks references, it's better to keep them in mind. so that later you can try them with a better computer.
@@baukodot awesome, I guess I can wait. I’m going from using BandLab and GarageBand for years to now using fl, so I’m p happy for now lol But yee I’ll keep it in mind for when I upgrade 🌜🤙✨
this game was one of my favorite, back in ly childhood. I use to play it on my Wii with my family. we've always loved it's soundtrack. and even if some of it's composers such as Kenichi Tokoi made musics for other Sonic games, I still think no other Sonic game's soundtrack sounds as special as this one.
@@baukodot yeahh, it’s the only example I can think of of a Mario kart style racing game with a soundtrack that genuinely sounds atmospheric, dramatic, and makes it feel like playing the single player racing mode is about more than just playing some races back to back. It’s absolutely high quality and intense enough that it could’ve been used in a game with a serious plot and setting, and instead was used for a sonic racing spinoff game, and I love that. This game taught me that a game of any genre can try to be more, there’s no reason a game has to be a certain limited way just because of its genre.
@@Arcad3n i totally agree. this is part of the reason why i think the sonic riders series is still a very good part of the sonic franchise, despite being spin-offs. and i think it deserves a new game, i mean wouldn't that be great to have a new sonic riders game ?
@@baukodot 100%, riders is so much cooler and more fitting of a sonic racing concept than just… Mario kart with Sonic characters. If Sega can’t get hoverboard racing with Sonic to sell that’s on them, not the concept. The concept is fire.
Appreciate you bro, this lowkey inspired me to get into re-creations bc I thought re-creating a Nintendo track to sound as close as you did was nearly impossible. I'll start posting it soon Also, when you started this project how did you go about it for making the sounds. Do you already have a sound design? background? and how long did this take
thanks for the comment ! for the project itself, all i did is what i mostly do when i try to re-create video games tracks. i listen to the music over and over until i think i get approximately the way it's made, how many instruments there are, what are they playing, when, with what effects, etc. then i go into my DAW (usually caustic 3) and i start trying to re-create it while listening to it. i don't especially have a sound design background, neither do i have any musical background. all i do is use my ears and try to re-create every sound and notes. it might seem hard or to create something that's very close to the original track. and don't get me wrong, it is, in some way. but it sure isn't impossible. if you want to hear more tips i'm here to help ! i'd be glad to know which Nintendo track you're trying to re-create, and how is it going. in any case, good luck with that !
I think "Negative Mass" would've been a good name for this track. The official name is "Un-Gravitify (Electro Extended)", but it really does sound like a completely different song.
"Negative Mass" sure sounds cool ! I think they called it "Un-Gravitify (Electro Extended)" because they just put the lyrics of the original theme song on the main menu soundtrack, which makes it feel like some sort of remix or something. Nonetheless, I really love this track ! (and i didn't expect my recreation to reach such a level of popularity on my channel 💀)
The blizzard was harsh on the mountain. Lily couldn't clearly see above two meters in front of her. Yet she was still pursueing her flight. She needed to find the lumberjack's cabin. The little child was pushing on her chest with her jacket to hold the blood. The sky was grey and sad. She was afraid. A snow path could have been made by her footprints if the strong wind wasn't covering them the second after her foot was raised to make another step. Lily needed to reach the cabin. She knew it would be safe here and nowhere else from it. Eventually, her vision started to darken and her body to feel too weak to respond. The sky was darker and sadder. She was afraid, and tired. The little child lost the concepts of hope, joy, belief. "Everything has an end..." The air feels warm. A comforting light accompagnied the picture of a lighted fireplace. Was her flight over ? Was she in the lumberjack's cabin ? She was trying to open her eyes wider, but couldn't. Her vision was a bit blurry. Lily was in a bed. As she starts to move out of it, a silhouette approaches her. She couldn't distinguish the face of the person in front of her, but words started to come out of their mouth : "So you are finally awake... My name is Osiris, but you can call me uncle Osi'."
