Question, I do other fitness on Tuesday and Thursday. Is is possible and effective enough to do Monday -push. Wednesday -pull, Friday-legs and then have the weekend to do my others sports?
Great video. I’ve done this before in the past thinking getting a good physique would make me feel better then once I had that physique I just thought “ok now what” then would stop training completely for months. Now I’m just enjoying training and the journey. Videos like yours help big time
Credits to you David! Because of you, I get to know about PPL, and because of you (again), I am now more disciplined to implement the PPL 5 days schedule starting from May 2024, and seeing some positive changes. Once again, many thanks for all your videos and advice! Thanks!
As a beginner I tried doing full body and I was absolutely destroyed. It caused me not to go back in the gym for the rest of the weak due to soreness. I will now try push pull leg.
Thanks mate. Physio told me today I haven't been recovering long enough with 'chest, back, shoulders, leg, rest' and recommended this split to help with shoulder pain. Keen to see it in action.
So will this workout split have you sore 24/7? That’s something I don’t look forward to. Say I do legs on the 1st do the other push pull days and legs again on the 5th. That’s enough time for the muscles to recover but is it also a small enough window for that recovery to happen but not be sore again?
This is a logic flaw to saw starting with the day you work out it's twice a week. In order to really be twice a week, it has to also be twice a way from the day after the legs/push/pull were worked out last. It's actually only ~1.67 times a week.
This really helped me to visualize a program that allows me to stay on track. My consistency has lacked, and this really boosted my will do get back in the game. Also, bro, I kept having to rewind the video due to an abundance of staring at you. HANDSOMEEEE. You make great videos.
This message came at the right time. I lost both my parents less than two years ago and I gained 30kg (66lb) and it’s been so difficult to wake up in the morning. So, these days I decided to walk 10000 steps per day and read the book of Proverbs.
When you find yourself almost violently sh1tting out a rep on deadlift or squat, you attain a form of spiritual enlightenment. Find redemption and absolution in lifting heavy in the gym everyday. You will get there.
Hi I am a woman, who wants sooooo sooooo sooo much to get consistent and disciplined with the gym. I want to for the following reasons: get an amazing body, manage major mental health struggles and staying clean from pills and develop discipline and consistency. But I just cannot seem to do it. I go to the gym and feel 10 times better but that doesnt seem to matter I just cant bring myself to return. I have tried every technique, even from that neuroscience guy on youtube about motivation and dopamine and ways to trick your brain etc etc. Im not working due to issues caused by above and ive no kids so I havent a single excuse.. I want sooooooo bad so bad, more than anything to overcome and beat this. Any advice??? BTW I wrote down my5 reasons!!!
I completely agree about overconsuming fitness content almost as a means to procrastinate or to feel productive. If you're not being pragmatic, practical and intentional about how you take in information it's just another means of entertainment and procrastination but it's worse because it's giving you the illusion that you're productive and you're bettering yourself. You're surrounding yourself in that world, all the content you listen to and so on - the most important thing is literally to do it. I am guilty of this happening to me a lot!
