how about pawn b7, bishop d8 king e6 (allows black king to move along 8), say king g8 pawn b8 > queen, king f8 or h8 queen x bishop checkmate
@Thatonechessplayer937
@Thatonechessplayer937 21 день назад
after king e6, black can play Bc7, sure it could still be a win (idk if it's a win or not) but it's not the fastest mate.

There's a lot of people who say things like "solved it, too easy" and this puzzle is a little harder than my other puzzles so it would give them a little challenge. I promise I'm not trying to make people quit chess (if you find the solution after the 30 secs, it'll not be the end of the world and even if you don't find the solution, you can enjoy watching it).

2:13 Why be8??? Qd8 works badly, but just e8, trade the pawn for a rook, if they don't trade the rook it's double queens and probably mate in 3. Now they need to prevent Qd5 or they lose a rook or a bishop with a fork.
@Thatonechessplayer937
@Thatonechessplayer937 Месяц назад
These moves can work but I wanted to show that Be8 was bad because there could be people thinking that this is a continuation without seeing the opponent's bishop (also that was move 3 of the chess puzzle so some people could have only seen that for a mate in 2 I think)

Maybe a dumb question but what's wrong with: Kg4 Ke4 (forced, I think) Qb7+ ? Edit: It can still go back to e5 so it's not yet mate. Thanks to @hi-ek3wd

I thought about queen promotion the checkmate and just immediately went to see the answer but didn't realize it could cause stalemate

1. h3 leads to unstoppable mate. Black can either move the b-pawn or the knight, but mate will still occur regardless.
@prestonotes

I think that i will upload a lot less consistently because it becomes harder for me to find good ideas for chess puzzles. I hope that you understand. Also, I downloaded OBS and it seems that my voice is a lot less glitched! I don't really know a lot about this app but I made this video with it atleast!

@Thatonechessplayer937
@Thatonechessplayer937 Месяц назад
@prestonotes
@prestonotes Месяц назад
@Thatonechessplayer937
@Thatonechessplayer937 Месяц назад

spoilers It’s h3 and Bd5 if Black moves the b-pawn. If Black moves the knight, the mate is *Bb5* instead (edit: added the spoiler warning)
