Rising above the hills just south of the city of Calistoga in the Napa Valley is Castello di Amorosa, which translates to the “castle of love” in Italian. Castello di Amorosa, an authentically-built, 14th century Tuscan castle and winery is replete with high walls and five defensive towers. The vineyards, approximately 30 acres, surrounding the Castello include Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Sangiovese and Primitivo.
The Wall Street Journal cited Castello di Amorosa as a “must-see destination,” and more recently, the Contra Costa Times included Castello di Amorosa as one of the top destination wineries in the country.

Awesome stuff. Im down in SoCal and the castle just sent out an email talking about bud break. I still dont have have bud break yet down here with all of the cold weather and rains. And now I notice this video linked from todays email is 2 years old 🤣
Loved visiting there this past week. Impressive! After learning about all the time, money, and thought that went in to this undertaking, I was surprised that the fire station right down the street looked so run down and under funded. I can only wonder if some of the devastating fires of past could have been better managed, had some of the wealthy Napa vineyard owners shared a small percentage of their wealth with the local fire stations. At least, offer firefighters a discount on their wine purchases.
If you could give us an email address or phone number we will make sure you are taken care of. Sorry we are a bit short staffed this summer, sorry for the inconvenience.
Thanks Dario for the memories. You mentioned Mendocino county. Thank you. as a child I used to go to camp Mendocino in the late 70’s the boys club definitely shaped a lot of who I am today. Thanks for all you do. Much love from southwest Michigan
It is going to take all of us to turn things around for the planet and the human race, but it is extremely critical to get this kind of top level commitment from an organization. Support and buy Castello di Amorosa!!!
I went when you first opened, my fav of all time. Best legacy in earth. I showed all my family and friends. Just wanted to say a huge thank you for all you do! ❤️😍🎼🥂🍷🍇🏰
That is great! Thank you for sharing with so many people and bringing them to the Castle. Without the support of amazing guests like yourself, the Castle wouldn't be possible. We hope to see you back soon.
I’ve enjoyed my visits to the Castle! The grounds are stunning, the wine superb, the staff first class and the events so much fun. The past two years have limited travel. It’s time to make another trip out!
You've done a great job building the Castle and you have a fabulous selection of very tasty wines. Love the Castle and wish we lived close so we could visit more often.
Dario I fell in love with your castle when I visited 10 years ago in my early twenty’s . It’s the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen in my life . I have your same obsession ..Thank you
Merry Christmas! Looking forward to seeing you and the castle this next year, it remains one of our most loved places to visit and relax. Hopefully successful growth and support will expand as you rebuild and add on. Stay well and take care. Your friends and fans from Hallandale Beach, Florida. PS: I surely hope that your 2CV survived, love those little marvels of French engineering.
Merry Christmas to you Dario and family (your extended one certainly as well). I feel like my family and friends have a special Sattui connection over 20+ years at your wineries and a visit with you in Italy. God bless you for what you and your associates have had to contend with over the past couple years. You are stronger than ever!!!
