Learn how to draw in CAD more proficiently. Our RU-vid channel will focus on our flagship engineering tool called Mech-Q plus other CAD tools like Plate 'n' Sheet.
Mech-Q is an engineering add-on for AutoCAD®, Bricscad and IntelliCAD.
But our channel mainly feature’s AViCAD, an AutoCAD® alternative which costs only a fraction of what AutoCAD® does and includes Mech-Q as well.
Why CADavenue? We’ve taught CAD users how to draw more efficiently for over 15 years. We are experts in the CAD industry and are here to help you become more productive creating drawings.
We'll cover lots of CAD tips for those just getting into learning how to draw but even if you are a CAD expert there's lots to learn on our RU-vid channel.
your videos are extremely helpful. i am haveing a hard time drawing the pump. whenever i select my pump and press the draw button the cursor automatically goes to highlight instead of drawing the pump in
@cadavenue yes I am running avicad. I attempted to open a new file but even then the cursor automatically switches to highlight instead of drawing even I attempt to draw in a pump.
This is good, but please how do I locate the isometric pipe utility icon in the ribbon using AutoCAD alone(not Mech Q) because I do not use Mech Q. I really need a video of these isometric piping drawings in AutoCAD alone.
With "plain" AutoCAD you'll need a good block library and then an understanding of drawing ISO lines. You can find tutorials under "draw iso lines in autocad"
if all that did not work, you could try resetting your profile. This will bring back the default Acad workspace. Type OP for Options Select the Profiles tab in the Options dialog box choose the profile to reset
Lovely videos with very loud and clear instructions, but I would have love them in AutoCAD because I don't have this software. Please, do you have these videos in AutoCAD? If I can access these videos in AutoCAD, it will effectively solve all my problems as a beginner trainer in piping.
@@cadavenue Excellent tutorial, I would like to ask a question regarding fields and I hope you can help me. I have a road project layout with its plan and profile viewport plus its letterhead. Now in the plan and profile viewport I place an independent text for each one about the progressives that that plan refers to and in the same way on the letterhead. What field could I use so that when I change the progressiveness of my text in the layout, the text in my profile and letterhead viewport is automatically updated? Greetings, I hope for your help with my query. The text placed in my plan view is: "TOPOGRAPHIC PLANT: KM 1+000 - 2+000"; the text placed in my profile view is: "LONGITUDINAL PROFILE: KM 1+000 - 2+000" and finally the text placed on the letterhead is: Plan and profile: KM 1+000 - 2+000. What field can I use that just by changing the following text "KM 1+000 - 2+000" whether from the plan view, longitudinal profile or letterhead is automatically updated in the others? I hope I understand you, greetings.
see this video - its not mine - but it show you how to export attributes to a xcel file - change the file then import them back into Acad - you could do something like this if you copied the attribute to your different profiles - then you could auto-update them with xcel ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tArwZc0AFBs.html
@@cadavenue es muy extenso el proceso en el video proporcionado en el link, debe haber algun campo que automatice lode mas textos con tan solo cambiar uno de ellos, igual gracias por la sugerencia.
@@cadavenue no, not grouped, kept them separate. Could it be to do with the Acad version? I’m only running 2010? I did create another tube then subtracted that from the main tube. Main tube is half round so just needed the secondary (solid) tube to blend into main half round tube
@@5tanw0rr311 It may be the version I cannot test here, unfortunately, but surfaces and solids should have no issues subtracting from each other - I am running a program called AViCAD, which is an AUtoCAD-like alternative. But this is a basic function and should work with most versions.
Hi I have a question.. ( I’m a student but online) do you put a title block and make your drawings inside the title block or do you insert the title block after you’re done drawing
you would need to create a viewport on the paper and then use Model Space to do your drawings see ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XUHkHo4eX2s.html
I am a begginner. I would like to use cad to help me plan my projects. Right now I am working on a project to fix the frame of a porch roof. I need to lift the rafters and joint assembly because the top plate they sit on is sagging - 8ft span and they kept the same double stacked 2x4 top plate. If I want to use the software on 2 of my computers (desktop and laptop), do i need to purchase two licenses?
I keep getting this message from Mech-Q when trying to draw along in this video. "Elbow angle not standard. For other bend angels set toggle switch: Bend Use Elbows - OFF. I can's seem to draw a straight pipe line. What am I doing wrong?
Does AViCAD have features like SolidWorks, that can do machine design layouts? Such as, designing a 3D electrical panel and linking the electronic schematic and 3D sensors. Then when there is an alarm error the faulty 3D item can be displayed on a computer monitor? Of coarse SolidWorks is very expensive. 😎 Thank you.
Just seen your channel for the first time. I'm loving your vids so far, I'm a beginner piping designer and I'll certainly be coming back sooner than later. Regards!
