Hi, my name is Mark. Join me, as I explore the Perth transport network.
I have completed my major playlist on this channel, which was filming every train and bus station in Perth, learning about the history and services, and then enjoying some clips of buses and trains at the station. When new stations open, I will update the playlist, but for now I am simply posting constant relevant videos to the Transperth network. Currently I am not operating on any schedule while I work towards by final school exams. In December I will be heading to Melbourne and filming there as well as all the content for the Ellenbrook Line opening!
Disclaimer: This is a private channel on Perth's rail network. I am not representing nor working for the PTA. This channel is by no means intended for official purposes as this is just a simple hobby I share with others. Videos can be used as a informative or entertaining resource, but are not meant to be infringing on filming PTA property.
@@TransportofPerth yes its annoying but luckilly they do replace the services with buses. As part of Cross River Rail they are replacing our aging signalling system with ETCS network wide so they need to close the network at times to do this work. Much of the current signaling system dates as far back as the late 70s when electrification started, so its badly overdue and the new system will allow trains to run closer together and boost frequencies. Also a lot of stations are currently closed due to major rebuilds and level crossing removals are in the works. They do the works on school holidays because generally the system tends to be a bit more quiet during the holiday season and because the Unions would do their nut if they had to do the work overnight,
Don't rmb did I mention in my video but so dumb that the desto says the retirement home, which is not even close to the stop that meant to serve it, and not the shops which the bus stops right outside😅
240's not that weird it's just the only way they could serve the community quite close to the station. I've gone on it before and I won't be heading down there for a while now probably. Didn't have any good shots for the thumbnail so I just found a deviation desto on perthbus.info for once...
Ellenbrook line will probably 4:58 have 3car b series, same situation as the airport line, due to the short platforms between Perth station and Bayswater.
Yep it’s rarely used tbh! Probably mostly used in the morning, but it still comes in handy for people wanting to either get to the station or the shops
It good to see the A series on the Yanchep line. So when the Armadale line reopens there would be a huge change load of people to check out the new line Thornily line would be linked to the airport line. Sounds like they have forgotten the Cockburn central connection to busy with the Ellenbrook line so interesting things yet to come
Not quite there’s someone in sierra control who’s job it is to watch the cameras and then open the boomgate manualy every time a TransPerth bus needs access
The 15TPH project should allow the shuttle to continue running to the Showgrounds the Bayswater group is currently running at what 8 trains per hour it’ll most likely be altered to stop all stations
@@williamp88 Yeah I just don't like the fact that they put the times on there cause I've seen so many ridiculous things. Like 10 minutes from Wanneroo Rd in Wangara to Henley Brook Bus Station on 355 wth??
@@NanoBytee The carriage number is simply the first digit of the number written on the trains. It is either 2 or 3 on A-series, 4, 5 or 6 on B-series, and any number 1-6 on C-series. The remainder of the numbers after the carriage number are the set number of the train referring to the specific unit, with 1-48 being A-series, 049-126 being B-series, and 127+ being C-series.
I went today and when i got back on the train to go to Daglish from showgrounds they didn't even start the express services until like 3 minutes after the fire works i ended up on set 89 and got on a seat in time because it was packed and it was almost impossible to get off at Daglish but i managed to squeeze through the crowd and get off
Express train is a good idea. But we should build the passing loops to let the express train overtake the preceding local train, so that the express train could be more express. Express train in a system without passing loops will be a joke.
I went on a Showgrounds train but because we missed the express one which was an a series (they are lacking the bs 😅) I ended up on a Fremantle line train that also went their.
I went on the C series again that was doing the W shuttle service while playing Sonic Frontiers today. I dunno why they wouldn’t run the C series on the Showground express it’s just Perth and Showgrounds only it stops. Fingers crossed it will next year
The most likely reason why C series wasn't used for the show express would be due to the the trains being used to service only the north south lines, what would most likely happen is the C series will only be used on the Yanchep to Mandurah Lines and the Bs will be exclusively used on heritage lines as they are better suited to the line conditions. Maybe one day but I don't see it happening next year unfortunately.
