I knew Kabaka Pyramid from his early mixtape that was produced while he was living in the USA. One of his popular mixtape was called Free from the chains. I got hooked on his flows right away. But his big hit that got him on Jamaican Music industry was from Chimney Records called Tropical Escape Riddim. That riddim brought him the attention in Jamaica. I knew from that moment on that this Artist is going for a Grammy award. Later on he got a project deal with ghetto youths international supported by Damian Marley. For me personally Kabaka Pyramid's lyrics and style is not like Damian Marley. I knew kabaka before he became a big artist in Jamaica. Watching all the way from Vanuatu
Peter Tosh saw into the future during his time. The work continues....Tosh's song "The day the dollar die" is gradually coming into fulfilment as the BRICS monetary union or alliance keeps growing in numbers.
I was hoping that it would not reach here but I guess Jah works in mysterious ways..so it leaves me to ask what were some people doing when they were fighting against who was trying to help Junior Byles?
This video is garbage. If you get baptized in the CHURCH, you become a member of the CHURCH. He became a Christian. Rita Marley is a Christian and works extensively with the Orthodox Church. The 12 tribes teaches its adherents to be Christians, and accept the teachings of the Orthodox Church. Israel baptisms before Christ we’re not the same as Baptisms in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. The same way John the Baptists baptisms were not baptisms into the church. There many many forms of baptism. There is only one form of baptism into the Christian Church, which Bob undertook. This video simply wants to erase and confuse by making it meaningless. Which is unfortunate cause there are already plenty of Rasta that do this by getting baptized and then continuing to claim Selassie is God.
HAHAHAHA STUPIDNESS. PETER NEVER EVER SUPPORTED THE FREE PALESTINE MOVEMENT AND REFUSED TO PERFORM BECAUSE OF INVOLVEMENT IN APARTHEID IN SOUTH AFRICA. WE DO NOT CARE ABOUT THOSE WHO DON'T CARE ABOUT US. DAMN EEDYAT BLOGGER CAN'T FIND ANY CONTENT😂😂
Does he support Hamas too? Hamas persecutes the people of Gaza. And I don’t think rasta can live freely and in peace in many predominantly Muslim countries. Enemies of Israel will be forever cursed. Despite over 3 thousand years of persecution of The Children of Israel, globally, the persecution of Jews still continues.
Thank you for making this video. Kabaka Pyramid is one of the best lyricists/writers in music, any genre. He needs MUCH more recognition, but the REAL ONES NEVER GET IT, NEED IT, NOR IS THAT THEIR FOCUS, WHICH IS WHY THEY SHOULD BE HONORED AND RESPECTED.
A minor UK hit? His 'Fatty Boom Boom' was huge in the dancehall and in the streets. As a kid in Jamaica, I remember that the term 'fatty boom boom' even became a part of everday slanguage. Nice looking big bodied young women would be referred to as fatty boom boom; facts.
If alpha school still exist all the rich muscian in Ja. Must see the need for sustaining senior poor singa/artist in a fashionable way, an institution for cultural support, oh maybe jamaica needs a place like Bellview Bellview to keep them diginified
Lee was a god. A lifelong beacon of creativity and amazement. Of all of the dub, reggae and ska artists I've listened to and loved, his creativity and harnessed madness have always stood out. RIP Lee.
