Kronwall hit players skating with the puck in the open ice. This a hit on a player with his back turned towards the boards, standing still, and another player skating from the other end of the ice with speed. Not even remotely close for a comparison.
@@kevinmitchell2089 I have seen him blindside a few players...but to be fair, McLeod did nail him from behind and boarded the hell out of him, but you can't say Kronwall hadn't intended to injure opponents plenty of times during his career. Look it's a rough game, players will get frustrated and eventually "serve justice".
Dirty hit but it's hard to feel bad since Kronwall is famous for doing exactly that type of hit on other players on a regular basis. So like, yeah, he had it coming.
@@odoyal8775 Kronwall was so well known for hitting guys in the numbers into the boards that the type of hit is often referred to as getting "Kronwalled."

What’s crazy is that they didn’t move the Gatorade pylons meaning the guys who went before him probably made divots in the ice. You see him catch them a couple of times and still made it look effortless.

As Wings fan I agree with what you say, not just for hockey but sports in general. Bandwagon fans are the worst. It's like you don't know a damn thing about the team or the sport itself but call yourself a fan anyway. On a side note, I hope both The Wings and The Hawks get good again and eventually meet in the Stanley Cup Finals. That would be legendary!
Live by the sword die by the sword. You hit enough people big time, clean or not, you get what you get. I’m not saying McLeod was justified, because he wasn’t. But if your play for an entire career is based on hitting and hurting people, making them worry you’re on the ice, you get what you get. Ask Tony Twist, any of the other guys who are paying the price for the way they played. To quote Clint, “Deserve’s got nothing to do with it.”
Like.....Kronwall doesn't like the taste of his own medicine? Ya know the old saying.....people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones! So Mcleod is a dirt bag but when Kronwall throws a cheap hit that's OK? Then again - Kronwall would NEVER fight to defend himself would he?
From Detroit, I have played hockey for basically 40 years. I have followed pro hockey for basically 25 years. I am a multi-team, player and sport fan. And after all that, Datsyuk is still my favorite player.
