The cost has nothing really to do with it. It's that you can't win when you hand is already empty enough to make use of it (because it means you die if you haven't got it at that point), and there are just too many decks out there that will have unending answers to anything you play. So the only cards that actually work are cards that do something major even against 80% of removal. This most of the times is "give 0-2 random minis"
This deck is bonkers. Played it to legend with a 60-23 record. Had an 18 game win streak at one point, then went 11-1 after a,couple losses. Just stupid powerful getting sometimes over 30/30 stats on turn 3 or 4. Just gotta be wary of Leeroy and fireballs, and this deck slaps.
Things like this are why Molten Giant was nerfed to 25. I'm not really sure what Blizzard was expecting having it in Core with Warlock having as much pain stuff as it does. Well, maybe they thought aggro would keep Pain-lock in check, but even aggro has trouble with turn 3 20/20 worth of stats.
No point in playing pain without a payoff. Fatigue and Sludge warlock are both much better decks if they lose the giant. It really shouldn't exist like that though.
this game is a colossal scam, governments are paid to keep quiet, and the same thing for RU-vidrs, if one day we see all the developers fired and blizzard with the shares on the stock market at a value of 0.1 I think there will be millions of people who will celebrate
It’s been such a long time since I’ve seen a deck where everyone always concedes after seeing your board and realizing they can’t handle it. I feel like lately it’s been “boom I just drew my whole combo so I’m going to kill you this turn.” Or “boom I just found the spell to get through your taunts I’m going to kill you this turn” but this one is almost exclusively big early boards.
They could put crystallizer down to 3 or 4 damage, maybe increase the units from 10-10-10 on the quest to 11 or 12 but the deck already can almost win without the quest reward consistently, is near unstoppable once you get the reward online, and the new Mass Production should be banned in wild just like those two or three standard priest cards are that draw way too many cards. Standard painlock is going to need nerfs or adjustments too though probably.
lol hopefully they will nerf this madness sooner than later. I'm already playing arena after facing this bs a dozen of times paladin and hunter needs some nerf too, the sinergy between the 3/3 dudes with rush and the prismatic bs are awful
This deck looked fun. Unfortunately it seems everyone I play has so much removal that I lost 15 out of my 18 games. Doesn't seem to matter how many times I stack the board or how early. I Was already at D5 trying to get to legend.
Honestly rather irritated about the barrel brim comment. I've been playing it in pain for months now its the mvp of the deck and everyone acts like they came up with it last night😅 whatever 😂
They really need to destroy this deck before it kills HS. It's not standard, it's a wild BS deck capable of putting imbalance t3-t4 with too much mana cheating. It ruined HS game experiences and fucked up a meta already n'admet balanced.
Imagine you have to deal with 3 8/8 2 4/4 and potentially some other 2/2 around the board too, and your spells now cost 1 more, at turn 5. Meanwhile, spell mage doesn't even have enough spell of its cost, like, brah, they call this shit balance ?
Spell Mage is actually favored into Pain Warlock because they have a lot of damage from hand. The match-up feels pretty balanced at least in High Legend (at 3k now).

I mean does it lose to Paladin? Maybe I’m missing something, but the deck list runs a lot of things that can completely dunk on Flood Paladin boards. Unless the Paladin hits the nuts, it’ll inevitably get its boards wiped by *something* I feel like.
@@MinoriGaming The deck has nothing to clear the paladin board. By the time you can build a board, you won't be able to do anything about the other minions. I even built a paladin deck with sticky minions that managed to beat a warrior with a ton of removal.
