Up until this mission I only wiped on stealth missions or I would reset to try to get 3 stars but this mission everyone just dies. It is like 3 vs 100 from the first turn. Mendo with 75 evasion and Unyielding Spirit up just dies in one enemy phase. Jefuty can't one shot anything except the weakest enemies and dies in one hit to anything. I have different upgrades than you do so this video is not helping too much 😢 would be nice if the game let you respec for free. I am using the strategy of throwing random garbage out to block the enemies and waste their turns. Using all the scanners and barricades everything.
Did you upgrade locked on for mendo, support fire and steady shot for Jefuty? Early on you aim to utilize standard turrets to pick off enemies with Atena, and gas nades to lower their hp allowing Jefuty to pick off targets in 1 shot. Personally the way I play, I kited a lot and play it slow, so patience is key in this map early on! Also feel free to utilize skills till the enemy numbers are trimmed down before leading to the 2nd phase, so you would have enough SP for it. Avoid taking damage at all if possible as well!
@@quickpawmaud I see, you can still clear the 1st phase still with that skill build since it mainly requires careful positioning and patience to play slow. Mendo "tanking" hits eventually works in later chapters, but early on you simply lack skill points and levels in certain skills to have him being a "tank". It is also very important to utilize the standard turret in this mission as it is the only reliable source of damage to hit and kill units aside from Jefuty, make it a point to pick off some enemy units without trading too much HP and equipment while kiting groups of enemies. This mission is pretty rough especially when you are still new and playing Challenge+, but it is still doable 😁

Is the teleporter not available for challenge mode in stealth phase? It's just 2 cells to the northwest of the 2nd shrike you sleep dart. I accidentally found it during my standard playthrough from the frustration of not knowing how the lights work to provide vision to the newly spawned patrolling shrikes downstairs
Petrel tends to be way more situational compared to Mosin, I mainly use Petrel against armored mechs in my entire playthrough since Mosin does more damage in general against non mech even against Oleg
The moment you get the "time limit" from the checkpoints, things get insane. Not gonna lie, had to use 5 save files along with a ton of quick saves. I'm just glad one of the recent updates allowed players to spam saves on standard.
That bottom right switch is one of the devs trademarks: an overly abusive "challenge" with RNG that can ruin the entire run, just like Angelia's stages in GFL. The difference in RC is that you can simply load your save file if things go south (except for Challenge mode). Still great video. That switch is EVIL.
