Home when I was in college for my CS degree. Meeting great fellow students and learning from passionate instructors. Small town that is overlooked, but I'm glad to have been part of it.
This university may be the only thing attractive about this town. Unfortunately, I went to high school here because my father attended EASTERN. I loved OMAK and wish I had graduated from there.
Not the most difficult ferry in WA. In San Juans some stops require drivers to back on. Port Angeles to Victoria requires a turn inside the ferry to exit out a side door, some truck drivers can do it faster than the cars can.
I wish you had included at least a little bit of info as to what the town is like to live there today, or at least maybe some links to other vids. I plan on moving to the PNW sometime in the near future, and Spokane or its region is one of the areas on my list. ❤
I had not thought of that, thank you for your comment. The town is small and adorable and would be a great place to consider moving to. The train is pretty loud, so make sure you are a few streets up from first street.
A steel gray dutch warmblood stallion was the first horse i fell in love with. He was huge, and not handleable, with a wicked bad temperament. He belonged to a novice rider who was scared stiff of him. She was selling really cheap. I though it best to pass him by though. My thoughts had been to buy him and take a sabbatical for a few months, as i figured what he needed was long time one on one, training him in the water to slow him down and gain his trust, and just walking him a hell of a lot in company. I kick myself now and then that i didnt take up that challenge, and i wonder what became of him. Worried a bit as he had been seperated from the stables other horses for anti-social behaviour, and being generally gregarious animals that just aint right. I felt he needed to get some respect and and learn to give a little, thats all. Ha. He probably may have killed me though. I was pretty sure his demeanor wasnt his fault. (i was told he'd seriously hurt the owner prior to the novice.very seriously. Strangely, my intuition was that hed just been misunderstood, and parted with that owner on bad terms and the horse didnt know why. Are they a particularly high maintenance breed for emotional attention and companioship? Its about 10years now since i passed him by, and i cant help thinking of that fella.
This place sucks! Unfortunately I attended high school here because my adopted father attended EASTERN. I love OMAK and I wish I had graduated from there.
try doing this nowadays and it is much harder. I am trying to pay our house off in 10 years and it requires an additional payment of 5,000 a month lol. Still working at it though. Brand new construction house built for us in 2021.
I know this was two years ago but I have a few questions. My family and I are planning on moving there next summer. Do you know about how much apts are? Pref 2-3 bedroom apts? Is it a decent town, because the crime rates where I'm at now, well let's just say we're on our 33rd homicide of this year. So, I'm just ready to move for good. I'm currently in Louisiana so I won't be able to visit Cheney until Jan of 2024
Very nice nice photo/video shoot. Outdoor sporting events compared to still shots are like day and night. I can tell how much you really enjoy doing sporting events. Keep up the great work guys
Actually, they paid off the house. They could have used the rental income on anything. Instead, they put it all into paying off their mortgage. They struggled to save and buy, then rent to a tenant, then pay off the loan holder with their income.
@Jose Fernandez That's not how it works. You put a down payment on house, pay closing costs, insurance, realtor fees, etc... Then you let someone live there for a price. That money, including all other income goes into your personal account. Then you pay the mortgage out of that account on loan that you used your credit to obtain.
@@trap7196 That's exactly how it works (for me). None of the rental income generated from my rentals goes into my personal account. It all goes into a business account. The mortgage, insurance, property taxes, etc. is ALL paid out of the business account. All expenses pertaining to my rental business are paid out of the business account. So, I'll say it again...the TENANT pays down the mortgage. The tenant pays the business and in turn, the business pays whatever bills. I do not pay the property off (the money is not coming out of MY pocket. It is coming out of the tenant's pocket). Also, did you know that a business can have credit? Did you know you can purchase property/take out a loan under a business name (and not use your own name)?
@Jose Fernandez No, you CHOSE to use the income that YOU generated by allowing someone the opportunity to pay you rent. You can choose to do what you want with the money that you generate from your home. Did the renter use their credit, help with the down payment, realtor fees, etc....?
