Thanks for the lesson. I was confused why it started with 和 as I am only to the point in my learning where its used as a conjunction (and). But I see its use here is to show comparison? Is that right?
和 is part of the structure 和 somebody 说话, which means talking to or with someone so that you can translate it to ‘ with.’ With you talking ( word for word) 和你说话。Talking with you. ❤️
熟能生巧。 Hello Elena 老师。 This my first time watching your lesson. Your explanation crystal clear and you demonstrate how to pronounce and explained about tones. Yes I am your new subscriber. Hopefully to learn Mandarin from you 谢谢老师。
Glad I found your channel! I completely agree with your prelude into the use of this phrase! I've noticed similar situations where people start off, "Let me be clear..." or "make no mistake..." and then what follows is usually some opinionated or disingenuous narrative that they want you to believe.
From my interactions with Chinese people, I guess it implies that other things the speaker says might be lies. 😮 I need to learn this, because I sometimes want to tell Chinese colleagues how it seems like they have LIED to me! And I'm sure they don't think so. 说实话,你不说 ...真的?
Thank you very much. If I running behind the time and somehow get to work on time can I say 我做到了. I cached the last train or the last bus 我做到了 it’s correct? Mexico 🇲🇽
I appreciate how much effort you put into teaching pronunciation, with tongue placement. For those like me who still struggle with "q", my husband helped me identify that I was pursing my lips like the "ch" sound in English, but you need to make a straight line out of your mouth, instead. I can't hear the difference, but my beloved resident Mandarin speaker can. 😅 And thank you for choosing useful phrases that are beginner accessible. So many courses focus on vocabulary that is useful if you don't already know a native speaker, like asking about their job and where they are from, but for me, things like this that apply to daily life give me so much more to really practice with. ❤
