Do you keep it in a marina or trailer to a particular put in? I’m looking to see how feasible it’d be to use a dinghy on the Delaware (on a low budget).
I trailer everywhere. Keep in my driveway all year. Takes about 30-40 mins solo setup in the parking lot before dropping in. Same coming out. It's a great size boat for both the Delaware and some smaller rivers around the area. It can sail in 4-5(ish) feet of water.
Mines makes a sound around 2k rpm and I took it to 2 mechanic and they are telling me to change the engine and they told me different things. They never said it could be the rod bearing. But I will go to one more mechanic and see what he says if he says to change the engine I will just drive it until it blows. My mechanic just said drive it until it blows 😂
Runs like a charm. Drive it to work every day. Long story short my oil sensor went bad and I didn't know. Brought it to a regular old tire place for an oil change (because I was lazy). One month later I find out I've been driving with no oil in the engine when the rod knock kicks in (no oil light). I put over 3qts in a 3.7qt motor hahaha, called the place and they said it must be a leak. Yet it sits in the same spot every day and never had a drip come off the motor....right. Driven about 3000 miles since, 2 oil changes and the oil level hasn't budged, so I don't think it's leaking. Maybe that wasn't the short version....either way, the motor still makes some faint noises here and there, but considering how fried it got in there I'm not surprised. Could be the lifters? Other than that it runs fine 🤣
