Easy to see why Angus won. Easily one of the best choirboys ever. His interpretation here is sincere, profound, and so powerful, it's as if he's the incarnate of St. Francis himself.
Who do you think is better, him, Terry Wey, Anthony Wey, Askel Ryvkyn, Régis Mengus, Beaudoin from the PPCB, Malakai, Luca fron Libera, or some other chorister? (Maybe some names are spelt incorrectly, I apologise )
@@uniformitydubliner9691 In the past 20 years, for me, some the main soloist of Libera (TDL, Josh, Leo, Michael, Ralph) and Vienna (Valentin, Philip, Robert) are truly a cut above the rest. At par with them coming from the other groups are Baudouin of PCCB and Angus B. here. But if i really have to choose only one, it's Thomas Delgado-Little. Everyone else are tied at second.
1 Tomorrow shall be my dancing day: I would my true love did so chance To see the legend of my play, To call my true love to my dance: Refrain: Sing, O my love, O my love, my love, my love; This have I done for my true love. 2 Then was I born of a virgin pure, Of her I took fleshly substance; Thus was I knit to human nature, To call my true love to my dance: [Refrain] 3 In a manger laid and wrapped I was, So very poor, this was my chance, Betwixt an ox and a silly poor ass, To call my true love to my dance: [Refrain] 4 Then afterwards baptized I was; The Holy Ghost on me did glance, M Father's voice heard from above, To call my true love to my dance: [Refrain] [Optional] 5 Then down to hell I took my way For my true love's deliverance, And rose again on the third day, Up to my true love and the dance: [Refrain] 6 Then up to heaven I did ascend, Where now I dwell in sure substance On the right hand of God, that man May come unto the general dance: [Refrain]
Welcome to Classic Songs Of Praise. the best of the best hymns that we use to sing over the last 62 years on our screens. In a programme being broadcasted in 2018, it's called ''My Favourite Hymn''. Please welcome your host, Katherine Jenkins, the singing personality from Wales. It's all about musical, Christian, worship and a lot of faith.
The last gasp of St Paul's before they replaced countertenors with operatic women altos, completely antithetical to the music and the spirit of the Anglican choral tradition. There is a huge repertoire for women altos, and I love the power of what they can do musically and expresively, but not here, if you have ears or a heart. Poor John Scott - may he rest in peace - must be rolling in his grave.
