I guess I do kpop reactions here. Currently fixated on Twice and Stray Kids i make gaming content sometimes on my other channel: ru-vid.com/show-UChfFcGIbA99MAsluVUHqQUQ
dreamcatcher \:D/ how can you put an anniversary fan song last 🥲 haha, both are actually one of my favorites. they usually end concerts with the most recent fan song. it's more about the lyrics and their vocals than the instrumentals.
If you want to have a really quality Dreamcatcher time then you might as well react to "this is [name]" series on the insomnicsy channel. Not much of a music there, it's about the members themselves. Hilarity and everything else is off the chart with them. There are four complete series, from 2020 to 2023, and 2024 in the making with 4/7 members done at the moment. And they have different content in each year, so it makes sense to watch all of them in any reasonable order. This is one of the best things on youtube.
I also think that Sahara is the weakest song on the album for me, though I've seen people list it as their favorite. As another reactor I follow always says, Music is subjective. As others have said, Full Moon and Over the Sky were their 1st and 2nd anniversary fan songs, respectively. This is one reason why the anime vibes are so strong with these two as their first few title tracks were definitely the most j-rock influenced. They've done one other fan song, Reason, for their 6th Anniversary and it's amazing. Love the plan for starting at the beginning and working forward. There's definite growth in their vocals and production as time progresses but it's all good to amazing, imo. There are no bad songs in Dreamcatcher's discography.
wait you already know all the members name ? very niceeeeeeeeeeeeeee who's your bias ? :) anw ... i think it would be better if you change the ranking list to tier list for the next album reaction ... because sometimes ( almost like everytime), dreamcatcher always have songs that are hardly to be ranked ... they're so good that sometimes all of them can be on A tier Or S tier. that's just my suggestion keep it up mannn
Full Moon & Over The Sky were fan songs released during their earlier anniversaries. IMO, I think DCC included both songs just to have Handong's voice on the full album.
I wanted to make an In The Frozen cover with guitars and piano once, but I'm not a guitarrist so it didn't went well lmao. Do you want to help me record and finish this? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vVQTUEgBwZ8.html
Listening to the instrumental version of Odd Eye is another whole experience, I highly suggest it. There are so much details hidden in the music. Same for Scream instrumental version.
If you want to see a kpop song with a metal scream, try the song "Poison" from the group "Pink Fantasy", it's an amazing song (sadly, Pink Fantasy already disbanded, but they had some gems)
@@compactrhythm Looking forward to it! It was my favorite K-pop release in 2021 (mind you that I'm a diehard Dreamcatcher fan and they released Odd Eye and BEcause in 2021, but that Pink Fantasy song was just THAT good to take the first place for me)
I'll be honest. It took me a while to get past Sahara's chorus. On first listen I felt much the same way you do, the Ra-ra-ra wasn't working for me. I'm not a big fan of repetitive syllables like that. Eventually it grew on me. I'm at the point where it doesn't bother me any more, but it's still not one of my top ten DC songs. A little background on the self made video... In short, Dreamcatcher got bored. The video was created when they were promoting Scream on the South Korean music shows. You'll notice the different stage outfits if you watch the video again. There is a huge amount of downtime while filming these shows and, as I said, DC got bored just sitting around so they made this video. As you dig deeper into Dreamcatcher you'll find that DC boredom = magic.
Sometimes Dreamcatcher gets to the middle of a song and then decides to take you to the club. In my opinion In the Frozen is a better song than Silent Night all the comments are mentioning, but at the Broken Halloween concert in 2022 Dreamcatcher did Dreamcatcher things and accidentally turned Silent Night into a full on event that they do at every single concert ever since, so it is loved for that reason. I can't say more without spoilers, but I can link the Broken Halloween live band performance where they startedthe whole thing (Dreamcatcher live is BETTER! And this one has Handong, so it's better) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wklxYj6BlSM.htmlsi=lw20MreFTRVQxljy which gives you the song in a way lyric videos never could. Edit: Grr I can't get this link to bump straight to Silent Night but there is a comment near the top with all the timestamps. The entire concert is amazing as soon as it's not full of spoilers for a reactor.
This is why if you ask 10 people to rank their top 10 favorite Dreamcatcher songs you're probably going to end up with 10 very different looking lists. Some albums are more cohesive sonically, and rock is their core sound, but diversity is Dreamcatcher's bread and butter. Their whole Discography is this like, which leads to wildly different rankings depending on what types of music you prefer. In the future, I definitely recommend doing the songs that have self-made MVs (Break the Wall & Poison Love) as audio only first, then watching the MV. For Break the Wall there's a live performance showcase on Andrew Lee's channel that he put captions on that's a fantastic performance and is what I'd recommend as a first watch for that song. For Poison Love, the self-made MV is a little different as it's about how every member falls in love with Handong, including Handong falling in love with herself. This was done because its the first album she was back for. Looking forward to the next part!
Dreamcatcher is also known for their experiments to try different genres that's why the songs in this album are so versatile. I suggest you to watch OOTD MV (it's kinda hiphop I guess) and also their special clip titled 7th July (this one's a reggae song! Try to listen to each member's vocals in this❤)
Red Sun was where I instantly fell in love with Dami (note that, INSTANTLY). The moment she sings her part "HERE WE GO HERE WE GO GET 'EM UP", I became gay for her. That's it. End of the story.
In the Sahara self-made MV, they acted out the lyric quite literally. They always seem to choose some of their hardest song to make a funny self-made MV. Since you like In The Frozen, you'll probably like its predecessor, Silent Night, from the Raid of Dream album. The title track for the Raid of Dream album is Deja Vu, which was considered by many fans to be one of Dreamcatcher's masterpieces.
Indeed Handong wasn't there for this album and the next one with BOCA (as well as the Japanese album with Endless Night). But there are now Live OT7 versions of the songs. Most Insomnias favorite album is TTOL and favorite online concert is Crossroads (2 parts both with a Live band). Enjoy the rest of the album man. 😉
Red Sun is a catchphrase made popular by a korean hypnotist back in the early 2000s. He used to say it while doing some weird hand gesture when hypnotizing someone. Due to his celebrity-like status and appearances on national tv, the catchphrase has became a meme and was integrated in korean pop culture
