All religion is a human construct. Ockham already said in like the 13th century that a spiritual journey to reach god can be done alone, and you do not need any institution to tell you what to do. But why expect some buffoon to actually read an intelectual book 🤮
A lot of human wisdom. But nothing about what the text says. These are signs of things to come. Not things that were to come. In fact this chapter is about fiests that ARE STILL VALID TODAY, WHICH POINT TO THE SECOND COMI.G. People were judging each other on details.
Love this 🙏🏾Amen and this I already was taught but I’ve seen pastors say giving opinions and feelings about God and his word is wrong and I knew that wasn’t true so it’s good to hear another believer say this I hope it reach many others 🙏🏾God bless us all
It's so true I must work on this to. It said in scripture it's no good to say, be clothed be fed be warm but don't do anything, it's a sobering thought if I turn aside others needs, I think many times we can feel overwhelmed over needs, so there needs to be a balance. Yes indeed Jesus is our leading. 😊 Love for Others absolutely from Jesus. 🙏❤️ Some are easier to love though. Some I need God's love. Love for ourself also must come from Jesus to
Honestly, I'm kinda done with wallowing. I had enough lament. I don't want to be sad anymore. I choose to be content and to change the things I'm not content with, no matter what comes my way, though I want to make the best of it and keep my laugh and peace. They expressed and felt the lament for me..
However, I agree, turn to God and give it to him. I had to cry and do that often. To move forward, I needed to go through it, but I'm not staying there. I want joy in my life, not grief.
Great study. Thanks for taking the time to touch on verse 1:5. I think that verse is still really powerful and even more powerful knowing that it means God can use things that we would not expect to bring about his judgment, discipline, correction, justice. The works that he does even through evil for his good do astound and would amaze, but definitely would not be understood by us if he told us those plans ahead of time.
You should instruct your followers that God uses sorrow and sadness to make one a better and stronger Christian, point them to Ecclesiastes 7:1-4. These verses helped me understand that God uses sorrow and a sad countenance to make me more like Jesus. Then, point them to Isaiah 53 and how the same things were used in the life of Jesus…the way of brokenness to a better heart
One thing I just thought about and have been contemplating is that when you find yourself repeating a mistake and you are truly sorry for it, it might be time to remove yourself from that situation or person because you keep hurting them or causing the same problem over and over again🤔 Find forgiveness in Christ and repent, but with repentance comes a decision of turning away from that sin not continuing in it🤔
What about all of the faithful Jews who fell by the swords of the church. Did they all deserve to go to hell. Please repent and come home to the true faith…. The true family of Hashem.
What i truly said was i am the Father, for i AM and i was and said I AM God as much as the next person. The only difference between us is that i was his first begotten SON, FOR I AM, and still to this day carry the physical scars of the CRUCIFIXION and muchore proof that only the father could possibly orchestrate now if you want a chance to meet me feel free to ask amd you shall receive. No this is not a joke The amount of proof I have is so undeniable I'm not just the dude you think it is crazy or as blaspheming The amount that I have you can't turn away from but you won't even give me the time of day so it shows how much you actually truly call me your Lord or your Christ and my name wasn't Jesus it was YESHUA
I agree...to an extent. You never know where someone (u don't know) is in their walk w/ Christ; ie how long has it been since their conversion. You can't expect "baby Christians" to have a life that mirrors Jesus'. Sometimes that just may be how God's chosen for a new Christian's life to be, but that's certainly not the case. There are hiccups & road blocks....I know that I, myself, have experienced setbacks & @ times, even some backsliding @ low points. I truly believe that once you've been saved, your life will begin to show that; but it's not the same experience for every believer. I'd say that sometimes we can judge too harshly & expect too much right away.
James 2:18 says: Yea, a man may say 'I have faith and thou hast works. Show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works." So, I think he's saying that faith without works is dead faith. Or 2 Nephi 25:23 "we are saved by Grace, after all we can do."
Depart from the book of Mormon. Follow the bible only. I asked God could I be in it he told me to stay in the bible only. Many false things in the book of Mormon
"After all we can do" is not scriptural. There is one thing missing in James, and that is salvation. It never says salvation comes from our works. It only comes through faith alone and NOT of works (see Ephesians 2:8-9). Mormonism tacked on works thinking our salvation had to be done by being earnest and doing well, but it's not. Remember Paul's admonition in Romans 11:6 "But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work."
@@hermanwooster8944 the book of Mormon has added to the scripture. And we are saved by grace through faith. I truly believe that with all my heart. The bible is missing nothing it is in their you just gotta find it.
@@hermanwooster8944 and also true faith in Jesus will produce works but those works are not what saves you. It doesn't mean don't work as your thinking.
@@williamburns635 I think you misunderstood my point. I didn't mean the Book of James is lacking. I mean the topic being discussed is not salvation. I agree 100% that Christians are to do good works. But that comes after salvation, not before.
