А почему вы ролики накатки не смазываете маслом?....Должна смазка маслом.тогда профиль насечки на изделии будет ровным,не рваным ...или так было задумано. на сухую,так скажем?
@21:00 you should wind the thread all the way into the new nut before doing up the grub screw. You wat to have the new nut at the correct height in its bore so the shaft is on line with the thread in the nut.
Have you seen the MARLCO knurling tool? It's what those plans are based on but has a larger capacity. It works really well for my Boxford CUD. I happen to find one on eBay UK and had it shipped to the USA.
This one is both of mine put together. The male one has a water cannon, which fires out of the head, in addition to port and starboard light up eyes. The female has a turning head and also light up eyes. Both can tow ducklings, but they are usually towed by the female as they act as a counterbalance to the rudder at the front, which is attached to the head. Both can run in tandem from a single 40mhz transmitter.
I have a different problem. My compressor is running, but the pressure doesn't increase. It was working fine, and then, all of a sudden, the sound changed, and now it doesn't increase the pressure(stays at 0)
I was lucky enough to come across a full metric Boxford CUD MKIII in the USA about 12 years ago. Not sure how it got here but I cleaned it up and replaced a few parts. It's been a good little lathe for home use. I have tried to replace it a few times but always end up selling the replacement lathe instead. China lathes or old worn out USA machines just aren't up to the Boxfords build quality even though it wasn't made with a power cross feed or quick change gear box.
