Fun fact: It took me some years to find out that the musicians Patty Smyth and Patti Smith are not the same person (true story) I have to add: I live in Austria, where only few people know Patti Smith and absolutely NO ONE (except myself) knows Patty Smyth
The short lived Magic Hour was included in the excellent 2004 book "What Were They Thinking? 100 Dumbest Events In TV History" by David Hofsteade. In it the author did an excellent job of breaking down all the problems with the show and it's host while it existed. I especially loved the part where he recounted Howard Stern and his Wack Pack's visit to it, as he put it, Howard joined Magic on the couch and told him pointblank exactly why his show was tanking. I highly recommend the book if you can find it!
I'm late here but I'm happy Patti made it through life like she did. She's a inspiration to everyone from the music scene. So humble. Great mom. So normal like us all. Thanks Patti for the music and the memories.
A history-changing game perhaps. I don't think the Giants had enough in 1989 to have been able to beat the 49ers' juggernaut that year. If they win this game and lose at SF the next week, maybe they aren't quite as motivated going into 1990 as they ended up being after such a bitter loss like this was.
Amazing how well Patty handled Howard! She could have been a great actress! She is the Most Authentic American Sounding Woman Singer! She has a quality of the Girl next door that’s so hard not to Love! I want to carve a heart in a tree with her name in it every time I her sing!!
