Good stuff. I like how you highlighted the respectful distance with the burrowing owls and knowing when it might be good to step back. Really neat, I wish we had them more regularly in GA. Congrats on that short-eared, too. A pretty neat way to get a life bird.

Here in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, by the waterfront promenade, Snowy Egrets, Chinese Egrets, Great Egrets, Lesser Egrets and a host of other smaller shore birds can be seen occasionally.

Good morning to you, Hawkins, from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR. I searched online for that black bird with white wingtip, and GOOGLE indicated the Black Vulture. There are two common species of vultures in Tennessee : the Black Vulture and the Turkey Vulture. The Black Vulture is more gregarious and easily distinguished in flight by its flatter flight profile, more frequent and rapid flapping, and large white patches at the tip of the wings.

Hey Mark. Unfortunately we don't have Black Vultures in the Southwest at all, or anywhere close to us. Google can be misleading sometimes.

It certainly looks like a Short-eared Owl to me, I'm in the UK and I've often seen them mobbing each other as well as other species, we think of them as grumpy birds! They roost on the ground so often the first view is when they appear out of nowhere like that. Another great video mate, I am enjoying your stuff a lot

Looks like a lot of fun! I did notice the hummingbird at 6:44 with the longer bill and wings extending almost to the end of the tail looks good for a black-chinned hummingbird rather than broad-tailed. I'm very jealous of the variety of hummingbirds you have there as opposed to what we get in eastern Canada.

Yesterday morning as I walked along the waterfront promenade n the semi-rural area of the New Territories in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 SAR, I spotted for the first time a pair of JUVENILE , both Male and Female, Asian Koel birds. These birds are more often heard than seen. This pair of JUVENILE Asian Koel birds were harassing a pair of Black-collared Starlings in the trees and making all successful attempts to chase them away as these Koel want to take over the nests 🪹 of the Black-collared Starlings and knowing that the Asian Koel birds are members of the Cuckoo’s family, they are brood-parasitic birds ! So I can consider a ‘LIFER’ for me to see for the first time a pair of JUVENILE (birth Male and Female) Asian Koel birds. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
