There is a man in my life who holds a special place in my heart... When I first met him 5 years ago, I knew he was a soulmate right away, he felt familiar and so, so comfortable to talk to. For someone who was just finally out of my spiritual closet, for the first time then, I felt so seen by this stranger in front of me( or perhaps he wasn't one completely). We met in Fiji and laterwards for a short time in Auckland, Nzl, after which we went separate ways and he went home to Switzerland and I went home to Singapore. Fast forward covid, 3 ex-boyfriends and it has been 5 years since our last meeting. there is a part of my soul that always feels like I was pinning for him. We remained in touch as friends through these years and admittedly mutually, we often dream and think about each other more than we should... Over a week ago, I was finally in Switzerland and finally in the same timezone and city as he was... I had mentally prepared myself that I would not see him then as he wasn't there then. On the day I arrived he told me he was there because of work changes but was also feeling ashamed and nervous to see me again as he was afraid to fall immediately for me again (he is in a relationship)... to summarize, we did not meet. It took a while for me to let go of the disappointment and trust in how divine timing will show up for us if it's meant to. I left a handwritten note hidden in his train station before I left and in it contains the title of this song that makes me thinks of him... Perhaps when that right time comes, our waiting will finally be short and the meeting will finally be long just like the lyrics of this song.
