Watching this today, listening to the opening roll-off before Grandioso, I can still feel a tiny part of my stomach tensing up: "Gotta get that step-off EXACTLY right, there's nothing more obvious than the doofus who's missed his line's step-off!" My second favorite band be hind my alma mater. So impressive and some of the best music in college football. Some schools are known for one song. The Longhorn band is known for March Grandioso, Texas Fight, The Eyes of Texas, The Yellow Rose of Texas and Wabash Cannonball. They help make the second Saturday of October what it is. I always enjoy watching and listening to them.
In 1973 I was the RIGHT- FRONT- PULLER of BIG BERTHA....even though I went on to be Varsity Cheerleader in '74-'76, I was never PROUDER than to be a part of the LHB....a cherished memory!
Do you happen to have footage of UT honoring soldiers in Afghanistan that night? My nephew was one of the soldiers and i can't find footage of this anywhere. Appreciate it.
