Hi Georgia, we have two great options for making t-shirt quilts. One is our reversible t-shirt quilt kit which has everything you will need to make a 24 block (12 t-shirts on each side) quilt. The other option is to purchase the T-shirt Transformation Ruler, and the T-shirt Project Interfacing. All these items are on our website, along with updated videos, and on sale until July 8th. So few videos are as good as this one. The steps are clearly indicated and there is no doubt what to do next. I really appreciate this video. It is great!
Thank you for answering some questions that I had (like figuring out how many circles/squares to cut), that I wondered how ''I'' could without playing by ear. I have many old blue jeans and had planned this type as my second quilt.
This is a great tutorial, best I've seen using this tool. I've decided to use some bright plaids with light blue denim for my quilt. (Here's a tip- to avoid a sticky mess, put your fabric squares down inside a cardboard box to spray).
I love this video! I’m a newbie and this was so easy to follow along with. Thank you! This is simple and quick to sew! There’s a bunch of kits in clearance at my local Walmart so I’m going to pick up some more to make!
Hi Eve, You should let the basting spray dry. However it shouldn't take that long. We recommend that you spray lightly and if you do find that it is not adhering over time, you can reactivate by lightly ironing.
Hi Donna, This was a special promotion kit in which we supplied the fabrics. Typically we do not offer our products with fabric. A dog pet placemat and dog themed mug mats are available without fabric on our website. I am sorry but I am French speaking and your camera was too far to show us in what way do I have to push the ruler : direction right or left at the second cut??
I finished making a bag for my sister yesterday before she flew back home. Came out beautiful and fun to make. This was a great project that I'll definitely make again for moi. Lol.
Hi Terra, If the blue lines are appearing on the printed side, it means that you are printing on the backing and not the transfer front. A quick fix - flip the paper over.
@@JuneTailorInc okay it worked this time but now it’s not ironing onto my shirt. The instructions say to take the backing off but then it doesn’t stick to the shirt. I’ve tried about 3-4 times with the transfer papers but at this point I feel like I’m wasting them. :(
Hi Gina, You can find that video on our website. Here is the link to the page: www.junetailor.com/sewing-kit-videos The video you are looking for is in the middle of the second row.
Hi Frances, The fabrics we used were an assortment of what we had in our stash and a few things we picked up at our local fabric store to match. The piecing on the outsides of the totes utilize a lot of relatively smaller pieces so these projects are great stash busters.
I just bought this a couple days ago and finished making one today. This is my first Quilt-As-You-Go purchase and I have to say that I am THOROUGHLY pleased!!! I made this bag in the video (funny because I didn't watch this until just now, hours after I finished) and I enjoyed every single step of the process. This was a LOT of fun to make. The plastic base is such a fantastic addition to these bags. Starting off was a little challenging as I wasn't sure what it was about. After I made the first 2 seams, I realized what was going on. It is basically paper-piecing, but on a large scale. SMART idea!! I am going to start on the second one right away. A really fun part is planning the fabric placement!! I will be getting more of these kits to make bags for family members for the holidays. They are a perfect size!! I am looking forward to getting more projects in the future, for sure.
