It’s important to note that a lot of autistic people aren’t diagnosed or can’t get an adult diagnosis. This applies to both men and women, my sister has a diagnosis, I do not. Despite clearly being stuck in my head all of the time it got ignored, my sister had language issues so they noticed that. Homeschooling is probably why I didn’t get noticed.

Paige!! Have you heard about how densely enervated FASCIA (connective tissue) is? Dr Robert Schleip- awesome resource for this (he’s a fascia researcher, Amazing scientist human- was a Rolfing instructor and before that, a therapist) Fascia is more densely enervated (nerves per square inch, say) than our retina!! (What we see with) And around 80% of those nerves are interoceptors- so that’s feeling stuff- sensory and emotion… cool! So a lot of our feelings may originate in fascia…? That’s being researched, next, i think

As an autistic kid, I would flicker the lights on and off all the time, steal keys, cameras and whatever, sometimes I would run for hours, once when I was 6, I ran away from my grandma when she was 50 or so years old, I ran across the field into a strangers house. I used to be so clumsy, fell off the stairwell of a 4 story building, climb up on a dresser, electrocuted myself by sticking my younger in a high voltage plugin, spray painted t.v’s in the backyard, and a whole whack of other things. Teachers tested me for English when I was 8, and they said that my style of speaking was similar to Shakespeare, even I didn’t start speaking until I was 5. But I am sure I would have a healthier brain if I didn’t grow up with drunk angry parents that would threaten to kill each other, grew up with mold all around me and both mom and I were very afraid of ghosts, good thing my brother would protect me.
