Do you like this better than the led strip ligjts with color??
@tobinisenberg1701
@tobinisenberg1701 Год назад
I have LED light strips being used in other places. They are nice and easy to install, but I personally feel that the color's (even white) slowly fade over time. Depending on which stips you get, they can last a few years, or less than a year. For under cabinet in the kitchen, I personally prefer a wired light in some type of housing (meaning now strips). The light inside the housing can be LED at that point.

I need to get extenders and they aren’t cheap with them, do you have an option that I can do? Can we splice these?! What wire?

I've had the roav c1 pro for just over 2 years. I've never had an issue with either brand. The roav doesn't have a rear camera though. The roav was my first dashcam. Since then I've purchased a few of the LifeChasers for the other cars in the house and no issue.

Thinking about purchasing one, how did you like it Tobin?

So far, so good. No issues. Their support has been great for answering questions quickly. I did have a problem with some two sided tape mounts for a different model of theirs and they quickly sent me replacement ones.

Did you get the Lucky cam app to work? I cant find the camera on my wifi on the cell.
@tobinisenberg1701
@tobinisenberg1701 4 года назад
Off the top of my head I don't remember which phone app they said to download and use with each dashcam model they have, I have a few different models of their camera's in different cars. I have an iPhone if that matters. The two apps that I use most often are RoadCam and DashCamPlayer. I do have LuckyCam installed, so I must have used it at one time too. Not sure on tips to provide other than, I assume you know how to turn on the WiFi on the camera, you search for the WiFi and connect... other than that, their support is great.

Works great. I haven't had a problem with it. The magnet mount is still strong and recordings are clear.

Thumbs Up Excellent overview. What is that last thing you said on the 2 clear plastics. I don't really understand how to use.

Thanks!!! You can peel off the cover of the 3M sticky tape (sticker with red in video) and mount the camera holder directly to the windshield. if you ever want to remove it at a later date, that 3M tape is really sticky and it's a little hard to remove. That really is the whole point though LOL. As an option, you can first put the clear plastic on the windshield, then stick the 3M mount directly to the clear plastic. The theory is, the clear plastic is a little easier to remove from the windshield vs the 3M. I still find this odd. Both seem to work. I think the 3M is a bit stronger than the clear one. I've done both.

So,..how the camera performs?

I have had one in my wife car and another one in my sons car. They have worked just great. I pulled some initial test video's from them and they were good. Several months later I looked at vidoe's on both and they seem to be doing their job. All in all, good dash cam. Lifechaser (on Amazon.com) has newer versions with more features, but if you selected this one, you'd probably be happy.

You can also use the connector to connect 2 lights if you want an 18-in light. That's what I'm plannng to do with mine. Nice video!

Oops, I'm wrong about that connector. I was hoping to do that. I think the timer is for 3 hrs, but not sure.
@tobinisenberg1701
@tobinisenberg1701 5 лет назад
Thanks for the comments. Yes, I read in the book that if the timer is on, the lights auto-shut off at the 3 hours mark. The connection on the light is female, the cables are male. The cable connector they provide is female on both sides. It is designed to allow you to connect multiple wires together to make the length longer. Think of it as a cable extender. So if you only had a 6 foot and 3 foot cable left (just using random sizes) and you needed to go around 8 - 9 feet between lights, you could use the connector between the 6 foot and the 3 foot wire to make the wire 9 feet long. If you just want to two light bars under a double cabinet, you don't really need the connector/extender, you could just go light bar, 3 inch cable and then light bar. The other end of one of the light bars would need to connect back to the power.
