After two meniscectomies my quality of life has gone down the toilet. I used to hike, backpack, and climb 14,000 foot peaks. Now I’m limping after a trip to the grocery store. Save the surgery as a last resort if nothing else works. I sure wish I had.

Just stumbled across this Video - very good holistic view of Knee Meniscus issues. In my case torn over a year ago, seemed to slowly get better(or I just got used it) But now worse than ever and stops me from normal life. Unable to sleep well, walk or do any activities - my MRI conclusion was : Mild to moderate medial compartment osteoarthritis with focal anteromedial 14 mm full-thickness tibial plateau chondral loss with underlying degenerative subchondral cyst formation and reactive oedema. Medial meniscal body a€" posterior horn junction cleavage tear as described which reaches the posteromedial corner and gives rise to a small cluster of para meniscal cyst. Posterior capsulitis and pericapsular oedema.
