Hi everyone! My name is Brittany and I'm a lawyer living in the Bay Area. I'm originally from California but also lived in New York for 3 years after getting married in 2016. Question: How many lawyers do you know that have carried a copy of the Constitution with them into a court room and used it as a defense? And which among you Lawyers are not members of the BAR club? And how many of you Lawyers can tell the difference between being “AT LAW” vs, “IN LAW”? Which lawyer has ever been paid with gold or silver according to he secured covenant called the Constitution? Because FEDERAL RESERVE NOTE (FRN’s) are notes; not dollars!
My mom told us when she only had my older sister and i she lived in a very small studio for awhile. Then she met my step dad and we all moved into a 1bd apartment all 4 or us
i'm currently a high school sophomore and i'm interested in pursuing law...i thoroughly enjoy public speaking and i'm an active debater & model un delegate, and i'm also advanced in school (ap calculus ab, ap world history, ap lang, etc) anyone have any advice for me? i take college RIDICULOUSLY seriously and i'm aiming for a t20 school with an intent to either do an undergrad in law or attend law school after. PLS PLS help!! i need advice on what i can do to better my stats, and PLEASE tell me if anyone knows of any online law summer programs that aren't too expensive! thank you and i love your videos btw :)
thanks! here when you say 1 bedroom it usually means you have one room with a door, the living room doesn't count as a bedroom. If you didn't have any "bedrooms" it would be a studio.
Thank you for an informative and grounded video about your experience getting into law! After doing research and hearing about other people's experience regarding law school I think I'm going to do urban planning or geographic information systems instead
Thank you for sharing this video. I am currently pursuing my Associate degree along with being dual enrolled at a local University where I plan on obtaining my Bachelor degree. The University has already informed me that I have an opportunity to enroll at their Law School. I am strongly considering applying to the Law School after completing an amount of my Bachelor degree course work. This video has truly inspired me that I can be a Christian and become a successful Lawyer. God Bless you.
I wish my bedroom was big enough to fit a crib... I live with my boyfriend in a one bedroom as well, but we can literally only fit our bed and a high dresser that's not large enough to use as a changing table (much like the one you have in the background. I've been trying to look for 2 bedroom apartments but the renting prices are so high in my country, it's impossible to be able to afford moving. I don't know what to do.
What size bed do you have? Maybe downsize (we have a full size bed) and see if you can find a small bassinet for the time being or a mini crib? There might be some cribs or pack n plays that are smaller than the one I have.
Which type of lawyer is in court the most? I love public speaking, writing and reading. I became interested as a high school student in law through my schools mock trial team.
Hi em! Great video! I love Pho! Especially in a bar 🍸 where I don't have to study! The soup 🍲 goes well with anything at my local bar 🍸 😋 👌 🙌 Who's watching with me in 2024? Have you failed a bar exam? The one that the cops administer with some breathalizer?
Hope you’re doing well, Brittany! Congrats on your daughter as well! 🥰 It’s been a while and have missed your vlogs! My husband and I have been watching your vlogs to understand what the different milestones are like for if/when we have kids. Thank you so much for making such detailed and amazing content - hope you know it’s helping all of us out here! 🥹
Hi Brittany - I just watched both your videos on Legal Ops, great information - thank you!! I'm curious about data and metrics, can you talk about some of the things your company has wanted to look at using data and metrics and how you were able to pull the information to tell the story?
I would say most of it is around contracting so how long does it take to negotiate a contract on our paper versus a customer's paper or how many contracts do we review in a quarter or if there are multiple attorneys how many contracts is one atty working on versus another. Basically, things to understand the numbers behind contracts to know if maybe we need more headcount or to see how fast we are at reviewing redlines versus a customer. Does that make sense?
@@BrittanyTran it does and I was thinking that was probably the case, but not having done it myself I wasn't sure if there might be more. Thank you for responding!!🙂
You should mention that, with the UBox...if you load the box at their facility, and unload at their facility, there's no charge. But if you elect for that, then it's your responsibility to get your stuff to the box, and then out of the box.
Thank you for sharing, I am at the 13 month old phase with my son right now. It's such a joy to watch them grow as they are learning to be their own person. My son also hugs and convinces me to play when I set him down. 😅
for the most part his bedtime is usually 8 based on wake windows of his last nap. During some transition times he may sleep around 7/7:30 but usually I time his naps for him to wake up at 7 and sleep at 8.
It's funny when you asked about why you want to be a lawyer, and whether it was the prestige or whatever else. My jaw dropped because my first thought was like woah I fantasized about becoming a lawyer since a child, and was a huge participant of Model UN, Speech & Debate, and got a Political Science degree for it. I'm doing it because I'm an immigrant and it would mean so much to me to trailblaze a path for my family. My only fear is that I will fail, and its so paradoxical. I am also between having at it with growing my repertoire as a Dj and just taking a chance on that. Or both? It is so difficult in my mind because does either path really guarantee security in this country? absolutely not. I could take out loans, fail out and basically bury my family in even more debt. With DJing atleast the stakes are not quite as high, and I know people in that.community that are doing the same thing already. I crave the professionalism and wrangling the beast of truth in a debate setting, but will that compromise my soul, since my creative endeavors truly feed another whole side of me. Just my thoughts.
I realized the other day that I became a lawyer basically because I wanted to be Alan Shore from Boston Legal... I wanted to be clever, sexy, rich, powerful, all while also being a crusader for justice... found the actual law laborious... life is not TV 😂
We are trying to transition to one nap but it's very tricky as my son has been waking for the day at 5am the last few months! I Was just wondering what time you gave lunch? So hard to know whether to do it before or after the nap if the nap is around 11/11.30.
oh no! I hope it gets better, I know for us it took almost a month for the naps to even out. for lunch, I would usually give it before the nap if the nap was around 11/11:30 because I didn't want him to be hungry. If anything, just serve a little less because they might not be fully hungry or serve a lighter breakfast and no morning snack to make them more hungry for an early lunch.
