Interesting how country the Byrds still sounded after Graham Parsons had passed and Chris Hillman had left to form other groups. Simply put, Clarence White's influence across multiple genres cannot be overstated, and he remains highly influential to this day through his recordings and past associations. .

Things were spinnin' 'round me And all my thoughts were cloudy And I had begun to doubt all the things that were me Been in so many places, you know I've run so many races I looked into the empty faces of the people of the night Somethin' is just not right 'Cause I know that I've gotta get outta here I'm so alone Don't you know that I gotta get outta here 'Cause New York's not my home Though all the streets are crowded There's somethin' strange about it I lived there 'bout a year and I never once felt at home I thought I'd make the big time I learned a lot of lessons awfully quick And now I'm tellin' you that they were not the nice kind It has been so long since I have felt fine That's the reason that I've gotta get outta here I'm so alone Don't you know that I gotta get outta here 'Cause New York's not my home That's the reason that I've gotta get outta here I'm so alone Don't you know that I gotta get outta here 'Cause New York's not my home

This is a great song side 2 of a double lp album.I noticed this an edited version of a 10+ minutes of the live version in my copy of the album.There is drum solo here by Jim Gordon that shorter.I think is not the one release in the market.

"Let It Rain" written by (Bonnie Bramlett, Eric Clapton) excerpt from October 1970 at the Fillmore East, minus drum solo
@joseenriqueagutaya131
@joseenriqueagutaya131 12 дней назад
That's ok because I thought there was only one live version of Let it Rain by Derek and the Dominos.I can always listen to this version and the other one with the drum solo which timed at 17:46 more than half of the whole side 2 of the In Concert lp.

A class act. He offered this to the Searchers whilst on tour in Australia, they turned it down only for Peter & Gordon who heard it in the next dressing room who asked if they could record it, the rest is history.

It's wonderful to keep finding these early recordings. Just compare this audio quality with Live at the Fillmore. The playing is basically the same...but the fidelity and mix are quite different....just think, Duane would only be playing for 3 more months.

Got my own start with this song the next year in 1990. Slowed it down similar to how Dean Dillon did when he recorded it a few years earlier. Accompanied only by my cousin and his piano skills we made magic one afternoon at Rio West Mall in Gallup, N.M. at thr Festival of the Arts. My life was forever changed in a matter of minutes. Thank you Del for so many great songs but espeially this one.

This tune just randomly popped in my head. I’m truly FLOORED to see all the comments that so many people were terrified as kids by some video of it in the 80’s just like I was. Makes me feel better that I’m not alone and it’s not just some illusion from my own imagination. I must find it.
