I LOVE what they did with the infected crossroads by taking a super duper earlygame area and making it harder as you progress further. I wish more games did this. It would make backtracking more fun.

i know it’s obvious, i know the game is six or seven years old now, but it still sucker punches me to see the water running off the statue of the hollow knight. how THK itself cant emote but somewhere far away the statue is “crying” for it anyways. im a sucker for some dramatic irony!

I run a travel company and have been to over 100+ countries. During COVID this all came to a sudden stop. I played hallow knight during this odd moment in my life where I couldn't move. Now that I'm back on the road, I listen to this track it brings me back to that moment. Sad, yet so impactful and beautiful.
I like to look at this video and think about how this is what most of Hallownest's lifespan was; empty. Before the Radiance cracked the Hollow Knight's shell, this is how Hallownest was for ages. Everything feels so Still, only the occasional vengefly scurrying about for food, it was completely absent of civilization
the city of tears is just a vibe that no game could match, MAYBE anor londo from dark souls 1 but the two of them give such different vibes that they aren't comparable, idkkk
IDK I think the games Journey, GRIS, Sky, and even Minecraft match the vibe levels pretty well. Check them out (well, you probably already know what Minecraft is).
