They are truly unique. Back in 1998, i discovered them (and so many others !!!) on the MATADOR RECORDS double best of. Immediate and eternal love. What a gift for poets. ❤

What I wouldn't give to have caught GBV in 1996. I was 19 and lived in Bob's hometown, but I hadn't yet discovered him. I did get to attend the 40th anniversary show in Dayton last month. GBV in their hometown with my all time fave Dinosaur Jr opening up. Magical.
Bob is in superb brilliant voice through out these performances! Outstanding playing by the whole band! I have to watch this live concert over and over as to not miss anything, its my favorite of all the live videos of GBV!
Still my favorite ablum from them, and one of my favorite songs off that ablum. I remember riding around in highschool blasting that song, love that shit!!

Well, I agree with everyone about GBV but they have this strange way of being so sad and being so loud at the same time that yeah I guess Robert is a Loki trickster …… (like thenavajoknow phrased it)nobody can do …..nobody has ever come close to doing what they do what he does ….I don’t know, I don’t know how to explain these motherfuckers
What a great show. I saw them a few days before in Seattle, and Kevin was so plowed he was barely able to make it to his drum stool, yet they were just as good that night. Favorite moment, the banter and botched count off to My Son Cool at 1:08
Lou has nothing to prove anymore. His solo work, Sebadoh, and side projects are top notch! The unsung hero of Sebadoh is Jason Lowenstein, to me. His solo work kicks ass!
