It's only by slowing this down to .25 and .50 speeds that I can really see and appreciate everything going on in this scene. This must've taken a long time to plan out and animate!
Hey, I recently have this game but I have trouble hearing the voices in the cutscenes and I tried to adjust the ps3 but it didn't work. How do I fix it?
Man, there sure is a lot happening in this scene. I sure as shit couldn't tell what I was looking at from all the blur, lights, and visual vomit blending together but something was happening.
That's this FF's version of Cid -- although, FF13 was originally supposed to be called FF13 Versus and the main character was Noctis, but I guess got pushed back to FF15 and we got this instead. If I were to guess, its probably cuz the combat design wasn't up to what they wanted it to be just yet.
This is my favourite scene in the entire game, my favourite line is when the soldier says to Lightning "You're dead" and she replies "You first" that always makes me laugh.
It's so funny that Calot activates the camera feed from the console, only for Liam and Sara to cut him off by slamming their fist onto the console. The music also gets dramatic when the feed comes online, only to suddenly stop after the console gets hit.
I love how Snow goes out of his way to save someone then immediately gets everyone into trouble because his brand isn't covered Then there's Sazh saving Vanille and Hope being all brave and a little bit stupid 'cause he has Alexander. Fang is flying around all cool. Lightning is just causally being a badass It's so much fun
Since the first time I saw this cutscene, I've been wanting to watch it slightly slowed down (and on repeat) It's so cool and chaotic and just a little goofy in some spots. I absolutely love it
Square Enix is doing a full remaster when the workload dies down a bit. They are currently working on too many projects like all giant developers are. At least they are working unlike some, let's not name them. Ok let's, Rockstar, Bethesda, Bioware. Square Enix just went through hiring a lot of people to work on multiple projects while keeping the core Devs on Final Fantasy. I would have applied for a job developing with Square but you have to actually live in Japan and speak Japanese. Maybe next time, I am moving to Japan for a while, just learning the language first and writing.
The thing I love the most about this is that the Grand Prix had nothing to do with them. They just happened to warp there and were like ‘ah fuck it, let’s just crash their party’ like the chaotic lCie they are
To answer your question 11 years later: Yes it was a glitch and that was me. My buddy and I were "boosting" as we were on opposite teams however we had a third that was on my team and kept reviving me. My buddy reviving me managed to use the defibs right as I died and it resulted in my health displaying 0 with the "almost dead player noises" and could no longer be killed in the boosting process. So i ran around knifing people to test. -Only way to die was getting ran over by a vehicle and yes; this was repeatable.
This was honestly such a banger of an opening to a game. when you talk about game intros that sucked me right in from the start, NOTHING hits quite like FM4's opening cinematic. They just don't make 'em like they used to.
I started today playing this shadow of the colossus, and damn its old but the graphics are amazing. After playing this im gonna buy the ps4 version, it’s just an amazing game worth to spend time on!
This is truly the most beautiful game ever, having no words, no characters, no stated story, no clearly defined background, no mortal threats or restart penalties for slipping or being seen by a monster, no battles… Pure art and philosophy, whose quality is reduced only by travelers who spam-chirp and won’t stfu. I’ve had to abandon one on a cliffside once, tricking them into flying with me, then flying back when their scarf was too short to do it alone.
