I joined RU-vid in September 2009, starting uploading videos on an "as and when" basis but as time has moved on, I have been able to invest in new computer equipment and now I try to upload at least once per week. Since late 2013, I have started to produce my videos in High Definition.
This channel is mainly dedicated to videos featuring buses, trains and trams but now also Train Simulator. Unfortunately, I cannot take any video requests as TS is used as filler when I have no trips planned. Anyway, I hope that you enjoy the content I post and please feel free to comment, rate and subscribe. You can also follow me on Facebook and Twitter for further updates. Thank you.
utf732m was at the ribble garage at the ellers ulverston cumbria in the late seventies early eighties the driver had too leave his cab and go too the front of the bus too alter the blind destination . it used to do the 730 barrow to kendal run frequently but would of covered other routes too . i think as this is back overe forty years nearly there where four of these type of buses in service at the ellers ribble garage
Hi, have been enjoying these videos and your AP reviews. Eagerly awaiting the next AP sale as I am starting fresh and I need an eye watering amount of stuff to play half the available community scenarios. Cheers
Andy The Bus is an effort by a number of people who knew the late Andy Wade who worked at Liverbius. The logbook is in my name but others have helped in many ways to get the bus to where it is today. The engine repairs are in hand. I want to put the record straight as claims like you made get taken as truth.
Just want to clarify that after seeing a Facebook post following publication of the video, "Andy the Bus" was infact restored by Terry Morris and named after a driver named Andy.
Yes, it did do a short spell in Barrow for four months in 2001 before it was withdrawn by Stagecoach and sold to a dealership in 2002. The bus was later purchased by Grant Palmer in Dunstable during December 2002. It operated in service there until it was purchased by members of our group in January 2012.
Hi Dave! We really enjoyed the little section on my bus! Glad you enjoyed riding on it! This video is the only one I've seen which featured mine so it's a favourite! :D
Yeah. I could only do the Sunday this year as I was at work on the Saturday. Good day all round though and looking forward to next year's event. I'll also be crossing my fingers for 169 getting a "new" Leyland 0.600 engine. Also hoping for 206 and 931 to return to the road soon, pending time, money, parts and volunteer availability of course. 🙂
@@davestransportvideos hope you & your colleagues can get them back on the road. Am involved with a number of bus groups, (& 1 train). I know the hard work & sometimes frustration that goes into them
nice video i wend also on friday 22 march i was behind the black and red tank engines double header to worth to film the trip to worth i subscribed u chanal cheers
Good to see you visited my local station, Seaforth and Litherland, it's a dump isn't it Dave lol. Seriously it's hard to believe the 507s will soon all be gone. I saw them come in & replace the venerable class 502s. And I will see them go out. Despite my initial dislike when they replaced the 502s I grew up with. I have to admit they have served merseyside well, & I will miss them.
Yeah, it is a shame to see the old stock getting replaced, but also exciting to see how long the new stock will last. I bet the 777s and other recently introduced new build stock won't get close to 40 years of service. That said, they appear to be settling down now as the service seemed to be very reliable on Wednesday, even with gap for the training runs. It seems as though however, that audio quality of the PA System is a bit inconsistent between units at the moment. On one train, both automatic and manual radio mic announcements were loud and clear whilst on the other, the automatic ones would be a bit too quiet and the manual radio mic ones sounded very garbled and bearly intelligible.
@@davestransportvideos I have found that too. I assume there is a way to adjust the volume. Pointless having announcements it passengers can't hear them
I remember going to one of these days at Kilmarnock more than 40 years ago and another a few years later. They really put on a great show with plenty of exhibits from small parts to whole buses. Great days out.
Enjoyable video Dave. I had issues with the low light with my camera. I used my Lumix TZ90 in program mode. Where I should have had it in shutter priority, to avoid ghosting. I also mistakenly used exposure compensation to lighten up the image, but it just increased grain. Your footage by comparison is sharp though a little darker. Overall though I would say your night shots are better.
UPDATE The Scannia Omnideck that I asked about in this video is now in the hands of Cumbria Classic Coaches. twitter.com/RF_765/status/1718996773203591464
Reuse the once used BIRKENHEAD TOWN STATION area for the master plan of a main line station as that would really get heads rolling once again it is right in the centre of BIRKENHEAD as the DISUSED DOCK STATION that has now gone and could even use the trams in that area where the line once was BIRKENHEAD need all that can be done right now but we could do with new ways of travel so less roads for cars more rail routes for trams and trains and bus routes for buses saves money on car insurance
I once remembered watching the origins of the woodside station for trains and trams and the original bus depot for buses if this was all put back in to the same way that would really bring a lot of visitors there for people who are on holiday such as tourists people on the way home and even people who are using one travel system to another 👍
Best to re-work the trams and bring them back in to working for actual transport even part of the transport Musium if you like. The point is people who are off to work early in the morning need other means of transport no1 idea in UK WIRRAL North West BIRKENHEAD at WOODSIDE to maybe Seacombe to start with and have a TRAM STATION at Seacombe just like they have in Sheffield we need this for FUTURE TRANSPORT 👍
