This is sooo good!! Lois lane was so special to superman. People don't trust superman and they keep regard him as a threat but Lois lane connects superman to this world, regards him as more like human. And also she believes and loves superman. And i also think that's why superman loves lois lane. And at the end of the b v s, superman said "this(earth) is my world". He regards earth as his world for the first time. He accepts this world(earth) as his world and sacrifices himself by his own choice and will. "A journey to become a true hero superman by his own choice and will". That's why i love this version of superman.
Hopefully in robert pattinsons the Batman we'll get a scene like this where Batman doesn't kill. As while this scene is the best in the movie. It feels like I'm watching a punisher movie. Because Batman doesn't kill.
I completely understand where your coming from and I too am a big believer that the Batman should never kill no matter what but in this storyline it makes some sense. Batman witnessed all his employees die in the black zero event, and Joker and Harley Quin tortured Dick Grayson burning down Wayne Manor, on top of this Bruce is having a mid life crisis and having repressed nightmares of his parents death. He is extremely old getting slightly slower and is very fed up with everything and practically lost faith in all humanity. In the comics after Jason Todd died, Batman went down a very brutal, destructive path and it was Dick Grayson who helped him back on the horse and talked some sense into him. However in this timeline with Dick Grayson being dead there is no one now to break through to Bruce to guide him back into his former morale. He is kinda lost and has become an extremely flawed and misguided superhero. It isn’t until the Martha scene Bruce sees himself for the murderer he truly is. That and Superman’s selfless act by the end of the film completely shape Batman’s restored faith in humanity believing that “Men are still good. We fight. We kill. We betray one another. But we can rebuild. We can do better. We have to.” Another thing to add: One could point out that Bruce himself has become something of a villain himself in this film. Whenever he’s on screen there is dark ominous music playing and take the scene with the abandoned facility with human trafficker for an example. Batman doesn’t even save the sex slaves, he’s only interested in getting the lead on the kryptonite from the trafficker and he brands him shortly after sentencing him to death as we see in the ultimate cut.
Snyder creates a Superman that feels grounded in our world, our reality. I don’t know he gets so much hate? SMOS and BVS were great movies! No thanks to the soft joss we got later and all because they said “it was too dark and gritty”
