Thanks for making this video. I bought a H1 that is in tubs. A lot of work went into restoring it, I'm the beneficiary of the hard work that has gone into it. I went to install the rebuilt powder coated calipers and new pads. Only to find out that there was a issue installing the loaded calipers. I did check the rotor specs and it was good. I thought it may have been do to poor quality aftermarket pads. Now I'll pop the pistons out and check them, instead of removing material off of the pads. 👍
Thank you for sharing this trick. For anyone who tries this don’t worry about burning off ALL of the soot, when most of it starts burning off call it there. (I tried burning off ALL of the soot and overheated my washer)
I’m a painter and decorator,,,,, what conclusion is the person that understands demonstration, test, coming to? Which is going to make my clutch easier to pull in?
Nice video! I have a question, if you can reply me it would be awesome! Can a clutch basket creates vibrations at any RPMs? I hear some sounds from clutch, light sounds... But my bike vibrates alot, in handlebars, seat, footpegs... I changed the oil, plugs, chain and sprokets, i checked the tires! The vibrations goes away while i'm pulling the clutch at any speed... If the clutch cause vibrations, can you explain me, why? Are the springs behind the clutch?
Nice Video. I never use steel wool on anything, it imparts tiny iron particles in everything which leads to corrosion. Copper wool or Scotchbrite pads are my choice.
You have impressed me with your mechanical abilities and knowledge! One issue with my 74 H1E model is that big old heavy stock rotor. I notice you have one that seems to deal with that issue. As you have done, I have also used the Moo bracket on the back of my left fork. No problems with this clearance issue. Yes I have a left caliper. But the info on your rotor would be much appreciated!
Thats one beautiful bike.!! Now, mention another bike, two or four stroke, with a more beautiful sound. Impossible. I had a 250KH in the late 70s. I dare not to set foot on a 750. I’m still in one piece. LOL.
These things are designed with voodoo engineering that is impossible to maintain. Every time you clean these things they work worse than before. You use them as is until you throw them in the trash, as the factory intended with Planned Obsolescence.
Sub’d & Bell’d thanks so much for this methodical concise useful information. New Leek knife owner. Appreciate the layout at this assembly. Helps me a lot
If you adjust the pump reference line below (before) the opposite reference mark, does the oil flow start increasing again or is it even less.. The objective of the question is to figure out how to recoil consumption as our new oil are much better.
Good tips, I was using a chisel after drilling instead of punching down. Chisel sideways broke a finger off my basket in the vise and might damage the rubber cushions
I took your process a little further I leveled the motorcycle then with the caps off the carburetors I leveled the carburetors I used your stick method and used three small finishing nails with the heads cut off of them painted the end of the nails white had a small battery-operated laser put on cement blocks with wood shot across the white of the nails when I barely turn the throttle I can see the color moving on the nails I hope this process will further enhance this video THANK YOU
Great review. Unfortunately this pistol is only available by special order, and retail is more like 240£, here in the UK. Have to admit, rather taken and it's certainly on the buy list Regards
