Waters may have been the driving force prior the The Wall , but he never progressed passed that era. Gilmour however along with the rest of the band took the band to new heights and Roger didn't like it. Personal I think Pink Floyd was infinitely better without waters . As you can see waters still playing the same songs from his time in the band.
QUEEN died when Freddie Mercury died. There were many vocalists who were even better than Freddie Mercury. But they didn’t have that spark that only Freddie Mercury had. John Deacon was right to leave and the remaining band members should’ve done likewise. They wouldn’t had even seen as quitters or a bunch of jerks who couldn’t get along or got too good for each other. Freddie Mercury was to QUEEN what Jim Morrison was to The DOORS. The DOORS released two impressive albums after Morrison’s death but they lacked that spark that only Jim had.

I adore Keith, but the Stones' creative peak came as Brian was fading out (Between the Buttons, the Dandelion/Child of the Moon/We Love You phase ending with Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women, Street Fighting Man), on through Sticky Fingers and Exile) -- when MICK TAYLOR was in the band. I have always suspected that Richards was uncomfortable with Taylor's talent, resented him, pushed him out of the band. Certainly the Stones were less -- impactful? -- after Taylor left and Ronnie Wood joined the band (again, no disrespect). Please don't flame me for saying something this sacrilegious, especially here of all places,, but I'd love to hear other opinions. Keith is a realized man, a Nietzschean Superman, whether he knows it or not. And I loved the video. Speaking of Richards compositions, why no mention of Little T and A ?? That's probably my favorite song of his. Oh, and Wild Horses. Speaking of which -- why no mention of his collaboration with another of my biggest heroes, Gram Parsons? I bought my first Stones album, Flowers, when I was in high school, around 1966. I had about six years of classical piano lessons, but learned to play scores of Stones songs by ear. Loudly. Sure its been said a million times but Food Network changed everything that was good about it and replaced all the best content with trite GenZ nonsense. In the same way that regular TV abandoned traditional entertainment for lowest common denominator "reality" shows and elevating celebutards like Paris Hilton and her ilk, Food TV took all the shows we loved like Sarah's, David Rosengarten, and The 2 Hot Tamales, and gave us competition crap ad nauseum. By 2010 it was completely unwatchable.
