Well done in getting further into this game. I see you now have placed both the statues of Hope in that room. Now you have to find the two Rama statues. The first one is in an area west of the Dark Space where you received the Psycho Slider. The second Rama statue can be found in a cul-de-sac north of the Dark Space. With both statues in hand you can then proceed to the final area, the battle against the two Vampires. It's a shame you don't have any energy herbs left in your inventory, because your battle against them is going to be really tough for you. I had to use at least one herb to get past them. I also noticed you have a lot of Red jewels in your inventory too. Here's a tip....if you click on each red jewel and then Use it. Exit out of your inventory, and hit the Use button. The jewel will fly out of your hands and be magically transported to Gem the Jeweller. Cool trick huh! 😃👍
Some extra advice.... Try and destroy ALL the enemies if you can. You will improve your Defence, Attack Strength and increase your hit points (energy). It also helps to pick up the orbs they leave behind too. In Mu you will learn the Psycho Slide and find the two statues of Rama. The flashing rings can be moved by hitting them or using shield/telekinetic power. You can bounce off them and run to go up hills. Also, look for two locations where stone heads are set at 90 degrees, follow their line of vision and stand in that spot and push the button to find the hidden Statue. Each time you place the Statue in the Room of Hope the water will drop one level. Finally only Will can use the Psycho Slide move. Good luck!!
@@theseus27 oh the Vampires are coming up soon!! I gotta admit I’ve pretty much messed this one all the way up lmao! You’ll have to see how I end up pulling off the fight with the Vampires! I just couldn’t give up!!
Oooh not a good episode for you this time dude. 😔 Never fret too much though! So here's a little helpful advice and a few tips as well. Yeah, the area around Mu has enemies that fight harder, so it's best to attack with some strategy if you can. Try and attack them where they can't hit you easily. It's tricky but it is possible. Also it's advisable not to use too many energy herbs. They're best used when you face boss fights. The boss fight at the end of Mu are the two Vampires.
Well done on completing the Sky Garden, and defeating the Viper Boss!! I actually defeated it without using an energy herb. The best way to defeat Viper is, as soon as Viper is in range, hit the boss quickly as many times as you can. Then, try and avoid the feather-like missiles and hit the boss quickly again. This boss is actually the easiest of the whole lot!! The two Vampires I find are the hardest to defeat. So I had to use a herb to finish them off. I still have about 8 energy herbs left, and almost at the end of the game now. I've collected all 50 Red jewels too! If you manage to destroy all the enemies in each area, you'll also increase your energy health bar. My energy bar is at it's maximum, although it's not essential to have it maxed out. But it should make the final Boss battle a bit easier. Finally, by collecting all 50 Red Jewels, I've heard that there is a secret level that you can explore and complete too.
Well, you still have a fair way to go. You have another two bosses to defeat. The two vampires and the Pyramid Queen. Your next big place is The Land of Mu...another big maze like the Sky Garden. You'll learn the Psycho Slide, find the two Statues of Rama, and face the two vampires. Then there's the Angel Village. After a short stop at Watermia, you then travel to the Great Wall of China, a short stop at Euro. From there, Will must then navigate the mushroom forest of Mount Kress (another maze area) where he'll learn the Aura Barrier for Freedan. It took me a while to get through this maze!! Then when you visit Angkor Wat and Dao, you finally have to journey through the vast Pyramid to face the Mummy Queen boss. So yeah, still a fair way to go.
@@theseus27 sounds easy enough!! lol I believe right now I’m at Euro? I’ve stockpiled a lot of episodes the day I called out sick from work and just started recording! I just could stop playing the game that day!
Oh no!! 😲 Don't stop playing this game!! Not now you've played so far in it. I know it takes a fair bit of time to progress through this game, but keep at it and you'll get there. As they say, practice makes perfect! 👍
@@theseus27 nooo I don’t plan on stopping! I just got so far into the game I gotta slow down recording them so I can take suggestions and stuff! lol don’t worry about me stopping! It’s going to be beaten!
I believe you may be interpreting the RCI chart in the opposite, up means demand. You needed more industrial for a while that’s why other zones aren’t developing as much.
I played the first 1 first. I stopped playing Zelda after Ocarina of Time but I still want to play Twilight Princess but I’m good on the one that got game of the year (BOTW) My friend and I are trying to beat Resident Evil Revelations but it takes so long to level up. A Link to the Past is awesome!
@@BubbaGaming5150 it use to be Zelda and I beat every Mario that has came out except for Sunshine and Wonder. If I had to pick one I would say Zelda. I just recently got into Resident Evil with my friend and it seems pretty good! I recently bought RE4 we beat 5 so yeah.
@@AverageJoeGuitarPlayer I’ve played and beat just about all Zelda’s except this one and the ones on the DS! I don’t think I’ll ever get to play those since I just have no desire to collect for the DS anytime soon! But I’ve recently been getting heavy into the Metroid series lately! But resident evil? I used to love it back before RE4 but anything after I’ve kinda fell out of it until 7 and the remakes! Those gotta be my favorite RE games by far!
Well done in collecting all the Crystal balls in the Sky Garden, and placing them in the correct places. Now you have to face a boss battle shortly, Viper, a giant eagle god. Just dodge his feathers and hit him when he swoops in. He's actually really easy to beat. As for my progress, I've collected 49 out of the 50 red jewels so far, and I'm pretty sure I'm almost at the end of the game. 5 of the red jewels are well hidden in the huge pyramid in which you also have to face a boss, the Mummy Queen. But in order to face the Queen you have to find and collect 6 stone hieroglyphs and place each one in a room within the pyramid. I'm now about to face the Mummy Queen next time I play this game. It took me absolutely ages to explore every part of the pyramid. Phew! So be prepared for a journey into the depths of the pyramid. Oh yes, and try and save your energy herbs for the hard boss fights!!! You're gonna need them!! I've collected about 9 or 10 and used one so far in the Vampire boss fight. That's a tough Boss fight!!
Yeah, I had a quick go at the Mummy Queen boss battle. A kind of a warm up battle to see how I could attack her without being hit so often. But I think I've found a way to defeat her with ease now. Will let you know how I get on when I start the Boss battle properly. As for the Vampires, yeah they were hard to defeat. I just had to use one of my herbs to defeat them.
Well, I've had a practice run of battling with the Mummy Queen, and it took me a while to get used to the way she attacks and moves. I did defeat her in the end without using any energy herbs at all. Plus I also found the 50th and last red jewel in the altar inside the Tower of Babel. So, next time I play this game I know how to how to defeat her easily. One tip I'd like to give and that is to highlight your energy herbs before going into battle.
I've just recently managed to get through the Mount Kress temple. It's a huge maze like structure and it's so easy to get lost in. So, making the map of the area in your mind is really tough going. The Sky Garden maze is timid compared to Mount Kress. So it's best to either draw a map as you progress or try and find a map online. I must admit I did look at one online. I was well pleased to get through the Mount Kress temple that's for sure! Good luck in finding the 4th crystal ball by the way.
@@theseus27 to be honest I do believe I hadn’t gotten that far yet! Even with all the videos I have back logged! Believe it or not I always have a note pad sitting next to me while I play these games! Like my chrono trigger play through I had to jot so much stuff down as well as earthbound!
They don’t contribute anything to the growth of your city! Like how your residential grows with time, the hospitals and schools don’t grow nor change so they don’t do anything for your population from what I understood
Yeah, you're right about Theseus slaying the minotaur. His parents were Aegeus King of Athens and his mother Aethra, daughter of the king of Troezen. I'm a huge fan of Greek, Roman and Egyptian mythology, which is why I have the Theseus username on RU-vid. The Sky Garden is quite a maze as you know, and you have to go into the upside down world quite often. There is a secret door too which a statue(with sword) is standing in front of. So watch out for that secret!! Use your block/shield move to move the statue away from the door. Just keep exploring. I hope you get well soon too. I'm at a place called Watermia now, still with a good supply of herbs.
@@theseus27 yeah your name sounded familiar to me so I had to look it up! Mythology fascinates me and it started with Greek and Roman mythology but I’m starting to get huge into Norse mythology! But I’m sure I’ll make it out of the sky garden! Lol I still can’t wait for you to see the sloppy vampire fight I’ll have! Lmfao
Ooh I'd forgotten about Norse mythology. I find that fascinating too. I have many dvd movies about these mythologies! There's one movie I like and that is Gods of Egypt starring Gerard Butler. The original Clash of the Titans is another great movie, as well as Jason and the Argonauts, etc. I also have some Egyptian dvd documentaries too. As for Illusion of Time, keep exploring the Sky Garden as best you can, watching out for that secret door I told you about. You can easily get lost in the Sky Garden as it's quite a large area to explore.
Thanks for mentioning me on your video above. Much appreciate the advice on how to record SNES games on a PC. I'm using my original SNES games console for playing my Illusion of Time game. I must look up why they changed Illusion of Gaia to the PAL version of Illusion of Time. I've just recently checked and couldn't find the reason why they changed the title name. No matter! Maybe some copyright issues! I don't know. Anyway, I heard in your video that you weren't feeling very well, and had caught a cold. So, I hope you get better soon.
@@theseus27 thank you sir! But I’ve gotten over it a week ago! But yeah I plan on doing a video at some point with some links in the description on where to buy most of the stuff! That’s how I make the gameplay footage is through my original Super Nintendo
I've got quite a bit further into this game now and only used one of my energy herbs so far, and that was when I fought two vampires which are hard to defeat. Yeah, you have to talk to all the characters to help you progress in this game. So, happy adventuring!!
Me too!! I love everything about this game. From the music, in game sounds, gameplay and the storyline as well. I'm enjoying my second round in this game, and trying to collect all 50 red jewels.
@@theseus27 I thought so! How is retro game hunting over there? I’ve always wanted to pick up a copy of Terranigma since we never got that game over in the states!
You know what’s weird. Is that I’m playing different challenges than you. In the 6th installment of the championships. Maybe we are on different timelines 😂 It’s a little hard to hear you.
@@AverageJoeGuitarPlayer I know! I made a huge mistake and didn’t check my sound levels before recording like I usually do! But I couldn’t go back and redo everything lmao! But na I made the mistake and recorded a few episodes on the first day and was posting them weekly and realized I should have waited and recorded weekly instead of a batch at a time with this game! Lmao so I’m like 3 or 2 weeks behind!
Although the first Boss is a bit tricky to defeat, I managed it for the first time using Freedan. I did take a couple of hits battling him though. You just have to try and avoid the enemy missiles, and once the boss fires his laser, you did right by going into the bottom left or right corner. Then once his eyes glow then attack him like mad while avoiding the fireballs that shoot from the left or right. Luckily I've yet to use any of my herbs. They might be used for any harder bosses later in the game. I'm well into this game now and enjoying every moment of it. Like yourself I'm playing a section of it every now and then. I might look up a video on how to record playing SNES games onto RU-vid.
I agree the jumping in Ice Climbers is horrible! I’m not good at Kid Icarus and Kirby. Instead of just jumping on the end of the ledge in Ice climbers jump more in the middle. Couldn’t hurt to try.
@@AverageJoeGuitarPlayer I actually got kinda good at it lmao! My next video I’ll show off where I went back and got a bunch of S ranks and A ranks on the lower ones I did! But it’s always boring when I watch people play the same stage over and over and over again!
I shot the Lynel from the beginning with the sword that fires. I hit 7 seconds and something. The dude who won used my same tactic. I like how you said “I’m not playing that one again.” 😂 I was playing that DK one so many times and only got in the top 20 percent. The guy that won used an invisible ladder glitch. Man that made me mad lol.
@@BubbaGaming5150 He ran for president against Clinton twice, Bush once and Dole once as an independent in '92 and '96. He took enough votes away from the other candidates to keep them from getting 50% of the popular vote. Bill Clinton who was elected President twice never got over half of the popular vote. Ross Perot was a character.
I've actually decided to play this game once again, after so many years. Watching you progress through Illusion of Gaia has tempted me to play this classic game all over again. But this time I'm collecting ALL 50 red jewels. So far, up to Freejia I've collected 12 red jewels. As for the first boss Castoth, I managed to defeat him first time without using any energy herbs, and no loss of life either. But he is tricky to defeat, but once you know his attacks you might beat him first time like me. Good luck!! 👍
Playing as Freedan, you should find a doorway out onto the top of a blue giant statue's face. Standing there, you will learn a melody, which is used later by Will in the temple with the large carpet of gold block tiles. Use the melody tune at the top of the stairs to activate the floor tiles. Then stand on the flashing tile to open up a doorway. Hope you don't mind me giving you too much of a solution. My apologies if you do!!
@@theseus27 I did end up figuring it out lol! But I didn’t know that about the melody! I ended up having to look up a walkthrough on it and it didn’t mention a melody that I can remember. 😔
I'm not sure if you're going to collect all the Red Jewels. But if you do collect all 50 of them and hand them over to Gem the Jeweller you'll learn Gem's well kept secret, AND enter a hidden area of the game. If you search in the big log pile in the Itory village, you will find a Jewel there. By the way, when you reach the Save game room at the end of this video you will be able to transform into Freedan. With his longer attack reach, you'll be able to destroy the statue in the square of blocks.
@@yunakitty2 I’ve watched people play with active and I have no idea how they become so quick with choosing attacks and items and such! Blows my mind! I end up turning it to wait a little later in the series!
DUDE!!! I use to play this game and watch my older brothers play this all the time when I was little! It was so fun, even though I had no idea what was going on 😂 Looking forward to your play through!
Wow! You surprised me when you said Terranigma was never released in the USA. 😮 It was released in 1995 in Japan and Europe (1996), but not released in America. As for Soul Blazer it was released in 1992 in Japan and North America, but not released in Europe until 1994. I've just watched a part of a walk through of Soul Blazer and it looks really cool. There's one non-European game I have called Actraiser 2 and it's quite a good game, but not as good as the original Actraiser game. The reason I can play Actraiser 2 is because I have a special device called Pro Action Replay 3 which I insert into the game slot of my SNES and then the game goes into the device. Anyway, looking forward to your next part of Illusion of Gaia. 🙂 👍
@@theseus27 There’s a nifty device that you might want to look into! You might know it but it’s called Hyperkin Retron 5! It plays European games, American games and Japanese games! You could actually download Translation patches on an SD card and translate the games! Pretty nifty device! But I appreciate your support!
Yeah, I'm from Wales, the west part of the UK. Hmm, never heard of that Hyperkin Retron 5 device. Might check that out sometime, and maybe download Translation patches like you also mentioned. Thanks for the advice. 😃
Actraiser is one of my fond favourite SNES games, and I've completed it 3 times in the past. I've managed to Max out fully all the towns/villages that I've built, and found hidden secrets too. This game is in my top 10 list of favourite SNES games.
Oh yes!! I remember playing this awesome looking game on my SNES console a long time ago and truly enjoyed every moment of the game. Exploring this game was so addictive I often couldn't get off it. 😅 I spent many hours playing Illusion of Gaia (retitled as Illusion of Time in the PAL version), and it took me some time to finally complete it. The ending sequence is amazing by the way. Believe it or not, I did manage to collect the maximum amount of hearts. Finally one tip....try and save the herb medicines (extra energy) for the Boss fights if you can. Now enjoy the game!! 🙂
I’m sorry for the audio everyone! I messed up while I was recording and forgot to mute my extra mic and OBS just unmutes things without me knowing! Hope yall can all still enjoy!
