I ended up buying a bestarc mig140 for $100. Looks similar to the Harbor Freight one but upgraded and higher quality. Has a much better ground connector.
Ya need to learn to make your own argon kid. 1% of the atmosphere is argon. You just need to compress it, fractional distill it, and compress it into a cylinder.
A professional welder recommended this unit as something to cut my teeth on while im learning welding, the other day. Hes got over 15years of tig/mig welding experience and at one point had one too to help friends and family out when ge couldn't take his miller with him.
I am not understanding how the "metering valve" works as you have it set up... Or maybe I missed something in your video. If the sand does not pass through the valve itself, then what are you metering?
It controls the siphon. Think of a drinking straw. Now think of a drinking straw that has a crack in it. A cracked straw is usually bad because it reduces the suction and doesn't allow you to get as much of your tasty beverage as you would like. In a blast cabinet like this, letting some air in and reducing suction can actually improve media feeding. Adjusting how open the valve is can reduce "surging" and keeps media flowing more consistently.
I'm 14, I'm just getting into welding as a hobby, from what I see I will asking my aunt with amazon prime to order this for me and I will use the money I have been saving for a Lincoln 90I mig
Bought this in the UK and it doesnt come with the cement or stabilizer which seems unsafe to me, thankfully i watched a few youtube videos and knew not to use without the cement.
That is strange. Mine came with the cement, which is a must. Honestly, the stabilizer is really only helpful when dealing with the bare insulation, and getting a firm base for the cement to cure on. Once the cement has cured it is pretty difficult for the fibers to get airborne. A respirator will keep the fibers out of your lungs while working with it.
I have never used a TIG or pedal. I've owned a MIG since 84. Like some if not many, I have some exhaust with new and harvested piping at 2 1/2" as in front of that CAT, it is 300 series SS alloy and 400 series behind the cat. Local exhaust & muffler shops are installing new custom, throwing pipe in the pile with 22 miles on it. Crazy but being handy, fix family cars with a 6-pack of beer and approach the manager. Great info on this Yes Flux core 135 pro. Thanks you! Just as 6' 3" guys with big fingers after two years of having one. Otherwise, not since 2018. Like Chris's Farley said "Big Man in a Little man's in a tiny jacket". Finger typing with tiny keys, it changes or erases the words. Double check guys / gals. Thanks for the comment.
Very interesting and decent info provided. Did you that eBay removed the country of Origin from product description! So Yes welders have more features. Interesting! Thank you again.
Great info. I have owned a large MIG since 84 and never ran flux core. Wasn't it helium that high priced if available? Like many, I have some stainless exhaust to join or add a "V-Band" for service. Factory stock Stainless Alloy is found on almost everywhere and yet a magnet still sticks. You have to use a sample on the bench grinder to see spark patterns. This will help, but one job, I can't justify buying a TIG. But, I might meet a guy who welds boat props, so all are good options! Thank you very much! ASE Master Tech since 78.
VEVOR IS GARBAGE. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SUPPORT AND NONE OF THEIR PRODUCTS WORK. IT IS CRAP!! DO NOT WAIST YOUR MONEY - LEARN FROM MY EXPERIENCE - BUY AMERICAN OR CANADIAN MADE
I run a small welding service when I’m not welding in refineries, if you know how to use the machine and how to weld properly this machine is great for the money, just use good quality wire like Hobart or Lincoln I’ve welded up to 1/2 inch thick steel with it no problem just bevel and run multiple passes
Thanks for the straight forward, informative video. I recently picked up one of these cabinets at the flea market for $60. It came with four types of media. I can see myself using all of your modifications. It hadn't occurred to me that it would be nice to have the blowgun inside the cabinet but now it seems obvious. I will probably add a vacuum system of some kind and a rotary table.
F'k Airgas!!!!!! Stay away, plus, the fact that they won't swap you out is BS! Anything smaller than a 200/250cft size tank should be swapped no matter who filled it last. Bummer man. Shitty suppliers!
You hit it on the head, some channels are saying MIG is harder than stick, sounds like they have never used stick!, as you say positioning, angle, arc distance and so on are very hard to master, MIG is not as fussy, learn stick and MIG is a walk in the park.
