Sounds like shit, thank you for your service, but that just sounds boring, i would be messing with the recruits and my buddies, poker, training, have an actual life in the military while pretending to be outside of the military.
This is exactly how I made it through boot camp and then later deployment and even just everyday life in military. Lookin forward to that next meal. One meal at a time, one day at a time
That’s how I got through bootcamp. Whenever I was getting smoked, chewed out, or just felt like it was too much I reminded myself this isn’t gonna last forever. Just get to the next event. It has to end at some point.
This is literally how I approach my daily job at a bank lol. A good breakfast gets me out of bed, lunch I get an hour at home with my dogs, then I spend part of my afternoon planning my dinner 😂 before I know it it's Friday evening and I get two days of respite until I do it all again.
this is gonna sound stupid, but that’s the mindset that got me through high school. i hated that place i didn’t like any teachers and all my classes were boring without my friends in them, for every single class i was like “okay, i have these 2 classes then i can go to study hall and do work then go to lunch and that’s a big break” then after lunch i’d be like “just 2 more classes and i can go home.” just gotta go one step at a time
