Learn to play drums as if it was a video game, with level and stats! Learning this way is a lot of fun but also extremely effective to achieve great results and become a solid drummer.
If your elbow goes behind your back, that's because you are too close to the snare drums... You look tall and the drumset isn't really ergonomic for you in that manner, just like those drums would need new drumheads as soon as possible.
Really hate this entire genre of drum videos that do nothing but lead people astray. Aping these very specific, low utility fills isn't the way to build flow or develop facility around the kit.
It's funny this is exactly what both drum teachers I used to have would emphasize on a lot. It's important! This is how you learn to keep tempo even when switching the frequency of your guiding hand strokes, which you need for basically every fill ever.
You clearly don't know me, I have a channel @Pietro.Valente full of improvised stuff. The one in this video is part of my book, I need to play exactly as it is to show it to students
Thank you! I play in several different bands but be popular on RU-vid is still tough. I will persist anyway, I have a lot of projects and ideas for this channel
@@learndrums I understand your struggles, as I have strived to be one myself. I felt that all you needed was a little bit of support. I absolutely love what you have done and tried to make learning drums more compatible with our current generation. I recommend you follow trends that other drummers are doing to gain popularity or do short! Love you for everything you do!!!
