I've had this pedal under my radar for a few days now, your video convinced me to finally take the leap! Can't wait to review it on my channel among other MIJ pedals. Thanks.
You can access the battery compartment by sliding the slide board labeled ADT-1 to the right. It has the same mechanism as the old ARION guitar pedal. thank you.
I have one of these and use it as a boost in front of a dirty channel. It's very Rat like to me, but with harsher high mids like a death metal pedal or something. With the right coaxing it makes for a VERY mean rhythm tone which I intend to use live at some future juncture.
@9Sheep Thank you for your interest. This GM-10Ⅱ has a more sophisticated sound than the BOSS GE-7. Of course, it is also possible to create a strong boost. Thank you.
@@tomwillaert3363 You have to open the back of the pedal to see the board The big chip is long you can google for picture if you have a label on bottom it must be made in japan the first DD-3’s are rebranded DD-2’s they have the sde chip
@@tomwillaert3363 When you open the back panel, the type that iquipped with square chip is later type. So it is not a big chip. Also the serial number position is the key to find the chip.type. The model which has a serial in the case may have a big chip.
Thank you for your comment. I've never used a Fender blender fuzz, so I can't say anything for sure, but there's no doubt that it's a very wild Fuzz. I think it has a sound similar to the BOSS FZ-2.
I own this pedal since decades and I never really found a way to use in a good way. It's makes unpleasant frequencies and even I look this on my mobile my ears a ring in like a tinnitus. It was only fun for synthesiser or a drum machine cause with screw the knobs something interesting happens. But you can't do while playing your guitar. It's a wah-wah without pedal.
I just ordered a PSK DS-1 Distortion, might grab one of these, as well one day (I usually only collect Boss pedals, but these look exactly like Boss pedals, which is neat in my opinion).
: / NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! THESE SOUNDS ARE ABSOLUTELY NOT OR EVER WERE THE SOUNDS OF 80s HAIR GUITAR!!!! THE SOUNDS OF 80s HAIR METAL GUITARS CAME FROM THE SAME 3 INGREDIENTS! ( I WAS THERE THEN! I PLAY GUITAR SINCE THEN, AND I KNOW ) ALL THE DISTORTION SOUNDS FROM THE 80s CAME FROM EITHER ONE OF TWO AMPS! THE MARSHALL 59 PLEXI, OR THE MARSHALL JCM 800! THE OTHER INGREDIENTS TO ALL THE GUITAR SOUNDS OF THE 80s, WERE RACK STEREO DELAY, RACK STEREO CHORUS, AND RACK STEREO REVERB!
Sorry but these were all over metal stages in the 80s. It was the ugly step brother to the Boss DS-1. One example is Anvil.. A founding godfathers of metal. Still uses one to this day! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-j0HzHV2R7HM.html Scott Ian also had one for a while. Less typing in caps and more research...
It's basically a baby sonic maximiser. Guitar center was giving these away back in the mid 90s cause nobody knew their potential. Run it through the loop or run 2 in series. These pedals are awesome
I have one of these. It's a thoroughly terrible distortion. lol I used to own one decades ago and turned it into an ashtray it was so bad. But i saw one for cheap recently so i bought it. i'm gonna do a mod on it, turn it into something better when i get round to it.
Thank you for your comment. This DM-3 can be purchased on ebay. However, since the delivery area is limited, there is a possibility that it cannot be purchased. Please check from the link in the summary column. Thank you.
So what a fukkk it does? It brightens the sound like turning guitar tone knob to 11! Kinda more clarity, transparency.. what’s going on here? It shelfboosts highs?Thnx bro ❤
Thank you for your comment. Tone Knob 11! i will try too. The EH-2 is a truly enhancing pedal that brings a specific band forward rather than boosting power. Once you use it, you can't take it off.
Thank you for your comment. I enjoyed your video too! You can see the details on ebay. www.ebay.com/itm/384773317614 Unfortunately, it is only available for purchase by North American customers.
My PH-2 was modded to be PSA 9v. I don't know if it changed the sound but when on my board and engaged it took over the sound drowning out everything else. Great sound especially on mode 1. Switched to a Mooer liquid phase and it does everything a MXR Phase 95 can do and more. Only $47 used. It's all digital but does sound real good to me. 3 wave selection is basically what sold me. 5 different phase types,3 wave choices makes unlimited sounds. IMHO
Thank you for your comment. I avoid converting ACA to PSA. Instead, they are connected in series using PSM-5. Did you modify the PH-2 to PSA by yourself? That's amazing! Only $47!!!it is a great price! Thank you!
@@Honpo-nori-chan $47 was for the Mooer pedal used. The Boss pedal cost me $90 already modded. And it was on purpose to find it since I was looking for it. Never seen 1 since. But never see my kinda price anymore anyways. And I'm cheap especially when I'm so satisfied with my board. Bunch of extra pedals for spares.
Sorry man but your tuning doesn't work with the demo. I like playing in funky tunings like A Standard and D but I have always felt that mods like chorus and delay just sound so muddy. I would use a subtle flange for leads in those tunings. The DC-3 is a sleeper pedal from BOSS. I had the luck to use one once and found it very neat. I should have bought it then.
Thank you for your kind advice. I'm shooting a video with a guitar and pedal that I took out for the first time in decades. Please advise if you have noticed anything.
@@Honpo-nori-chan when your guitar is well tuned ,your guitar will sing ,but tuning is an art of it's own even your mistakes sound good , and of course improvisation is born.
Thank you for your comment. I think the EH-2 is more effective than the EQ when you don't want the backing sound to be buried in a band with multiple guitarists. Please try it. Thank you very much.
This was my life saver 35 years ago, I had a crapy amp and this booster made it sound more classy. It was ON all the time. Preamp function, still have it\m/
Thank you for your comment. As far as I know, I have never seen a Black label BOSS DS-2. If there is a Black panel type, I think it is quite rare. Thank you.
