Hummm,, interesting tunning in “ almost D almost sharp”…I saw this song in almost all tuning styles…D, E, G open, in B, A with 5 strings, with clamp…funny…that actually works cool.
So amazing ! Thank you for sharing. Even though I am an enormous Beatle ELO fan I’ve just discovered you recently after watching concert footage of Orchestra on RU-vid - I’m a 55 songwriter / Musician who is still wrestling with getting out of the bedroom studio and sharing my talents in some way out in the world. I really dig the stuff I’ve heard and I’m gonna look to buy your CDs or ones you’ve been involved with. In this day and age of zero music industry I believe it’s super important to support the artist we dig. I often try to go see the Weeklings and buy their CDs as well for example. God Bless !
I just saw you play in Vienna, VA at ‘Jammin Java’ and that was the first time I’ve seen or heard of you. I absolutely love the music. I’m 27 years old and generally into pop punk, rock, etc but I really love the as good as advertised album (which I bought a CD copy of at the show) and I love classic rock soup also!! I hope to hear from you again and will surely see you live if you’re playing near again. Mr black sky is also an amazing song. The lyrics and the sound of the song is just awesome. Im also a big fan of my friend hates me and honey sweet baby
Damn, that's good ... really good. The melody is beguiling, the words are funny, true and poignant - and I've never heard that exact sentiment in a song before. It feels halfway between Warren Zevon's "I'll Slow You Down" and Dylan's "Not Dark Yet," but funnier than either and as true/real/wistful-yet-proud as the Dylan song.
Oh shit, these are the exact thoughts that are increasingly taking over my mind. I’m trying to keep them from possessing my heart as well. I just told my adult kids that aging isn’t something you do, it just happens to you.
Correctly?? Anyone that wants to play this song correctly probably should check out Alfred’s music lessons for Jumping Jack Flash. Not to take anything away this person’s work, but to label it “correctly”???
