Not thrilled by how the piston connecting rods were allowed to bang up against the sharp edge of the engine case.... Stress nicks in the connecting rods?
I have an R69s with damage to the seat of the idle air screw which prevents sealing, despite chasing the thread further as described in the Barrington manual. Any advice on how to fix the seat? Thanks!
Last time I put a /2 on a center stand was in 1997. Got an R60/2 last month. Was having a hell of a time getting it on the center stand. I attributed it to just getting weak in my old age. Watched this video, went down cellar and up on the center stand with no problem. Amazing how much one forgets after 26 years.
Interesting … looks as if the Hella bar end turn signals have a red lenses in the rear side, makes Me think about adding a set of wires out from the brake light switch for stop signal, one would have to add a set of diodes to prevent the turn signal power from both lights…
Hi, when you say hash mark, do you mean the line scribed on the inside of the hole? Also, have you made the other videos yet only I cannot see anything. Thanks from the UK
I have a friend with a 63' R60/2 and the advance unit "seems" fine and the weights expand out with revs and return BUT,,, the timing light shows ZERO advance,,,, thoughts ???
I could not locate your flywheel for sale on your website. Do you sell them as a part I could order? I am working on a 1968 R60/2 and that sounds like a very nice upgrade to the stock flywheel.
We sold out of them and they were removed from the website. We are about to repost them. If you email us at info@barringtonmotorworks.com we can set you up with one.
Nice job. I noticed in My addition of the Barrington manual it was missing the small detail of torquing the bearing to 35 ft lbs. No Big deal, but glad you mentioned that here. Lve this stuff keep it coming.
They sure do! They are fall more resistant to breakdown than the original canvas and resin models. The Emerald Island coils really are the best coil around these days.
@@BarringtonMotorWorksGreat video! The blue coil has an additional ground wire, where are you attaching it? It looks like either on the coil mount or somewhere on the backside? Thanks
So we Finally had some warm weather here in Chicago and I was able to make it out to the garage. Tried the Quick and Dirty method and it worked awesome! No more excessive up and down movement! Thanks so much. By the way, is that “One nation under a groove” playing in the background? It’s been awhile since I’ve heard that 👍🏻
