This table tennis ball collector works as well as it looks in the video. So good! Now my children don't complain about picking up balls, and for me, who is disabled, it makes it possible for me to fully contribute.

I've heard that the piece that holds the two halves together is made of plastic. Is this true? If you had to choose between the Optimum 30 or the Stiga Premium Compact, which would you choose? One is 25mm, the other 30mm, one is joined together and the other is in separate parts joined by plastic, "that's what I heard."

I WANT TO KNOW, PLEASE. COULD YOU HEALP ME ?
@Alexander__7__
@Alexander__7__ 8 дней назад
Well, if this supposed 'plastic' is a strong and durable plastic used in high-end products and also has a replacement (in case this piece is still being sold), then it’s understandable, and the Optimum 30 would be a great option.

hi, just curious to know, why don't players use normal wood sealer cheap ones from any hardware store?
@KenNakajima07
@KenNakajima07 25 дней назад
I´m sure there has to be one of the cheapo sealers that´s good, maybe a chemist can point us in the right direction, it seems that most regular sealers screw up the ability of the rubbers to hold on to the blades because the glues used nowadays are water based.

can you use tennis racket grip tape on table tennis racket... regardeless of obviously wasting 50% of the material? (thinking to use one for two or three rackets I lend to people at work.)

Thanks, we will return the question with another question, because we don't know the answer. Is tennis grip tape, thicker than table tennis grip tape. Table Tennis Grip tape is pretty thin allowing good sensory feedback of the ball into the hand. If tennis grip tape is similar than I would say yes. Await responses.
@ondrejcarda
@ondrejcarda 5 дней назад
Yes. I´ve just bought and installed the classical tennis HEAD Extra Soft overgrip, which is only 0.5mm thin, so even 0.1mm thinner than official Butterfly/Stiga TT overgrips. It´s longer than TT overgrips, so you have to cut it, but I like it, because I have more space for adjusting the wraps density and thickness on specific parts of the handle to fit my palm. BTW the HEAD Extra Soft tape has super nice and comfy feel, more like some very fine fabric or luxury thin leather, definitely not the rubber/plastic feeling, and it looks like it will soak sweat very well. Looking forward to test in more in the training.

Yes. As I wrote above, f.e. the tennis HEAD Extra Soft overgrip is only 0.5 mm thin, so it´s a tiny bit thinner than official Butterfly or Stiga grips. I´ve just tried one and it´s very good!.

@michaelshekianphotography6378

have you thought of a wider foam brush or foam roller to spread the glue? Also if you lay some wooden dowels on the blade you won't have to worry about the rubber making contact with the blade until its in the correct position. Remove the dowels as you affix the rubber.

@tabletennisstore9909
@tabletennisstore9909 3 месяца назад
The 575 will be lighter and will have a little less speed. Since you have fast rubber in the 53. All things being equal, this might be the better choice. The 775 will be faster and a little heavier racket. But if you like fast rackets, this will be a very good choice. Feel free to contact us directly, voice or text at 914-873-0075 if you live in the USA or via email, orders@tabletennisstore.us to continue to conversation.

The rubber doesn‘t need the glue layer, this will surely affect the performance. I also apply the glue layer on the blade to prevent damage at the removal.

Your hand applies the highest pressure to hold the racket at the bottom of your palm. The tape must start at the bottom and finish at the top. The last tape goes at the top, not at the bottom of the racket. That way your own hand doesn't doesn't destroy your own work as fast, compared to the way you demonstrate in the video. Also, the finishing tape makes your gripping slippery at the bottom. As explained before, this is where the hand applies the highest point of pressure to the racket.
@dirtymikesnow
@dirtymikesnow 4 месяца назад
Yeah, idk if you're correct. The butterfly grip tape I got for mine says to start at the top, so that's what I did. He clearly says you can do it whatever way you want in the video, also.
@tabletennisstore9909
@tabletennisstore9909 5 дней назад
Thanks for the response. The above is interesting. Our only comment is that in table tennis, the grip needs to be firm not tight. Most players at the recreational level clench the racket, which limits racket speed on contact. The pro's hold the racket just tight enough to have stability but loose enough to snap or rip the racket through the hitting zone. I am rather confident that grip tension is either equal throughout the top and the bottom of the racket or the inverse, where the tension is at the top of the racket, thumb and forefinger and at the top of the palm. That said that does not make it better to wrap from the top vs wrapping from the bottom. Most if not all pro's also don't put grip tape on their rackets. Likely, reason, they want maximum sensory feel of the ball transmitted from palm to hand. This gets muffled, I am quite sure with grip tape. Welcome comments. Ben

Which rubber or sponge is thicker, 39 or 40 ? Thanks in advance for any help.
@tabletennisstore9909
@tabletennisstore9909 7 месяцев назад
39 the degree of hardness, 39 is softer than 40. Sponge thickness and wood hardness also matter. The thinner the rubber, the less speed and spin you will have but the more control. All thinks being equal we recommend thicker rubbers, 2.0 or greater. But note there are players who prefer the thinner rubbers for more control.

I have been using the Maxi2 for 6 weeks and already my game is elevated. The oversized Maxi2 uses the full width of the rubber to improve all elements of the game. My wrist uses the long neck for leverage on all spin shots and achieves faster racket speed and enormous power. I am thrilled with my newly achieved consistency, spin and winning scores. 😊🏓
