Wow, this building is awesome! You can how cute these apartments once were. I would have loved to live there. Provided the walls were soundproofed. Lol I bet those walls could tell some stories.
That house is NOT clean. Why is all that junk in the home? It needs to be dumped. No way has any electric been updated, not with those push button electric wall switch at the top of the stairs.
If nobody has grabbed it....hit me up. I suscribed..I'm really looking for something out in the sticks, up in the hills but you can't pass up a great deal lol.
There’s two living rooms because the room at the front is the formal room where you seat guests. The other room is the den/family room for the family to relax and be more messy. It’s pretty typical. I don’t know your age but before the open concept craze this setup was what most people aspired to.
The ceiling fan in living room was not installed correctly given that it was installed (on a lowered ceiling). Rip that ceiling tile out, put a longer extension tube on the ceiling fan and then it'll likely be ok and much safer.
I'd immediately get rid of the dropped ceilings. Most older pre-WW2 houses had 8-9' ceilings for removal of hot air efficiently. No need to drop 'em down. That makes the rooms so much hotter in summer and even in winter. Otherwise a great project house. Why double hung windows were openable at the top in the older houses to allow for heat to go out at the highest point.
Would be a great project house to fix, especially with the "pile of wood" house next door up and gone. I'd get rid of the soil adjacent to the back of the kitchen however. Not safe having even any compressed earth next to a structure, unless it is a garage. Invites damp and mold.
This is very real. Owners practiced in the Occult , perhaps. Opens the portal. Not good. I rented a house with this problem, some years ago. Coins appearing in piles, metal objects moved to impossible locations, window cracked as I walked by, lights on and off all day by themselves, doors slamming by themselves. Saw my bracelet thrown across the room into a wall, & nobody was there. We had to break lease ; it was terrifying my kids . (And the property mgr wouldn't set foot in the place . )
I'm not sure how it's done in West Virginia but generally, when an agent is making a video of a property, they make it look presentable first. I just think it's weird that you're talking so nonchalantly, going through this house and everything's in such disarray. Sorry not sorry. (I was an agent in Colorado for several years, lol) Just seems kind of odd 😂
