I actually live not too far from a small park that has the wagon trail for travelers. It was the site of a massacre of Marcus Whitman. It's not far from the snake river. My wife and I stayed at the Stanley. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but left after 1 sleepless night. Noises and murmuring in the hall all night, like little kids and mumbled voices. Said the heck with this and checked out, LOL. The food was great though.
