I'm a guy from Sweden who's played the piano for a lot of years. I love to compose and the main focus of the channel will be to post original compositions. A dream I have is to have one of my compositions be part of a game, preferably Resident Evil.
I'm almost completely self taught, but I had one teacher for a year who helped me with fingering techniques, which was incredibly helpful.
You did quite a lovely job here! This is very nice. I have a similar backstory, I took piano lessons as a child and continued playing for fun, wanted to compose something but unsure how, during the pandemic I realized life is too short to not do what we want so my New Year's resolution going into 2021 was to actually compose a piece. I did most of it during January 2021, got writer's block, then in frustration shelved it, forgot about it until playing the piano in spring 2022, so I tried again, this time I completed it in summer 2022 (July) and posted it in autumn 2022 (August), I was terrified, fearing it would be made fun of, but people here are so kind and friendly, so warm and welcoming, so I was inspired to dig out my other piece and finish it, and to my surprise, I finished it within a day.
Thank you! And good job on sticking through as well and finishing your composition, the feeling of simply finishing a project is great, even if you can never be fully satisfied with it.
Thanks! I'm learning to play this with my piano, after 15 years of not playing. But you need two people to play this, one for the green part and one for the grey part. I'm playing the green part now, it's the one with the melody.
That green G-key to the left at 1:24 when there's two green notes together wasn't supposed to be there but whatever. This is my second transcription so it'll be far from perfect. Also, this is tbh not the best theme to make a piano transcription of (or at least not the easiest one), but it was pretty fun to make anyway!
