@@officermurdoch4120 the "Woke" is a derogatory term used by old white heterosexual males (like myself) pertaining to modern NeoPostmodernist Pop Cultural Social ethical ideals which assume that old white heterosexual trad males are inherantly and historically overly represented and thus inherantly Oppressive in modern art forms...aka "Old Fashioned and thus Boring , Unpretty, and so Unmarketable to the younger generations of ambiguous non binary gender identity.". .. Or in laymen terms... "Mark Hammel is too old, he isn't youthful looking on camera, nobody will watch the show!!!!"
It will be interesting to see , how a NON JEDI ACADEMY "Jedi" , will train other padawans ? Questions that come to mind are : 1) will the rule of two "master & apprentice" still exist ? 2) will the order be rebuilt on the ideas of the down fallen jedi order , with its elite jedi master council, padawan circle, jedi gaurds, younglings, librarian etc.?? 3) what will be the new mandate of this REY order ? 4) since Rey is both granddaughter to the emperor, and student to Non jedi academy luke skywalker, will she be receiving her guidance from the jedi ghosts, ?? 5) Since KK got her grubby paws into Star Wars and killed off the old generation in a couple of movies...will this new jedi academy be a Matriarch ? Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy is a Man-bully...with no experience with sci fi movies. "Make Men UnComfortable" ...She just ruined it for BOYS who will be MEN ...and shot herself in the foot, as she added more dirt to the Dying Disney grave site. A dozen more questions....guess we'll have to wait and see what happens.
such a bad film. completely threw away all the stylised shapes and structures that made MIB unique. the fruity cancel-ready humour? gone, the vast array of aliens living among us that we 'don't know about'? gone. all the practical props and effects that really sold the shitty but amazing SFX? gone. instead we got 2 type casted characters pretending to be james bond, a character that doesnt fit either of their type.
like, even the part where she's like: "just drive" and neutralises everyone. they completely destroy the last 3 films of build up, explaining that you can't just click the button and expect people to forget, you have to give a story, fill the deleted space in their brains with new information. if you rode by on a space bike, neuralised them, the rode away on the space bike, they wouldn't remember going out to the markets that day, but would remember the last thing they saw or heard, being the damn space bike. if you neuralised them and said "this isnt a space bike, this is a cammel wearing a new type of silver heat blanket, a really fast cammel by the way", then everyone would remember it that way and live on. films like this, that replace space age furniture with cheap shit 'hologram' computers, and ignore lore that took good time to build up, ruin all the fun for film making.
I totally forgot this movie happened... Had no idea Liam Neeson was in it. 4:50 Mind blown, gotta go back and watch all the MIBs, and this now. Thought it looked horrendous, now I want to give it a shot lol.
