I own 2 of these, Platinum Pearl & Slime Green. Both with Upgraded FU Bridge Blocks. Titanium Brigde Hardware and Noiseless Springs. Spent $1350 for one and $1500 for the other. Love them both, solid construction, no complaints!!!
I have an Ibanez Prestige which used to be my favorite, an Ibanez Jem Premium, and this one blows both out of the water. Not worried about the FR1500. This guitar is solid as can be. I got the green one, it’s my 6 string Hulk.
You have the sounds of electrical faults all throughout this video but you don't have enough knowledge to realise it. You also have the problem of electrical mis-tuning sound. Physically, it's in tune, but electrically, it's out of tune.

i love this guitar, but a SS refret takes it's price up even further. It's the best looking Charvel though IMHO. So much so i've been tempted to buy it even though i hate Nickel (allergy). The pickup combo was smart also. Beautiful guitar.
sweet guitar mate! i just bagged a humbucker version epi LP jr for 120USD out the door..used but magical! gonna pop in a "hum90" in the place of the humbucker for more era correct spank n gnarlyness!
This guitar plays sick the neck is the fastest neck ive ever played my only complaint is no stainless steel frets but nickel is fine and has a good tone. And the frets can be replaced. Id rather have one with a fixed bridge anyways so i dont care about the korean floyd. But for the tone and playability and the look its totally badass. I got mine for 2300$ since my dad got me a 10% military discount. Im happy with it and love how easy it is to restring and play. This is the most badass guitar ive ever played
Tried a friends 6L6 version. We both just don't get the shared eq. Set a clean sound in channel one, and the drive channel sounds dreadful. Think he is now sticking to the clean channel and using a pedal for drive sounds. What are we missing?
Top heavy. Huge dip when standing and playing.. it’s Decent if you change out the pickups . The neck is only 24.5/8 I had one. Sold it for ESP black metal arrow. It smokes the prophecy every which way. Period. Try an ESP 25.5” scale neck , black ebony fret board and emg 81 pick ups ,the esp black metal arrow , try yourself then play the the prophecy. This guy is blowing smoke up your butt the guitar he’s playing is crap dude it doesn’t feel good in your hands at all compared to ESP or BC rich. Try yourself and you will see this guitar sucks on stage.
I haven't played or felt one yet, but have been wanting to try one. I do a Epiphone LP Standard with P90s but I tend to go to a Squire Stratocaster I have. I've got a older Charvel Stealth that has the Jackson live action pickups< but it tends to stay in the case most of the time. I've had it since July 96. I don't think it'll go any where else.
Why not just get a Les Paul? Gibson has been a douchebag company for decades more noteworthy for stalling progress and making music less accessible. Thats why.
Owned several LTD through the years. Picked up an e-ii a month ago. Haven’t touched anything else since. It’s such a night and day difference between the two.
i love your tone ,man. i have a katana 50 and i struggle to get tones. would you be able to tell me what frequency you cut and raise? it seems like you have a decent amount of lower mids or something like that. my tone lacks that and is too bright even wit it cut off at 10k. i raise 1k and some surrounding frequencies and then work on the bass side and do a low cut at like 100 -120hz. i understand its only a katana but i feel like i just need to be pointed in the right direction. great video man, one of my dream guitars other then his original esp ones he had back in the day.
I have the misty blue Pro mod dk24 Mexican made and it’s an absolute beast to play and the full shred pup is superb and I love it for metal and rock. I will change to a big brass block for longer sustain but l have had USA made and Japan made and believe me these Mexican made charvels are epic and won’t let you down at all. Personally I prefer my Charvel compared to my Ibanez RG550 Genesis. 👍🎵🎸
The pickups are Nordstrums Big Breaks but are dual linear coils...like a P pickup but in 1 straight pickup cover, 2 linear coils under the pickup cover but not soapbar pickups...a cross between a Jazz & P pickup with a more modern tone...great pickups, i have them on my Ash bodied 5 piece neck Ibanez Sound Gear SR600E....good demo & details...
definitely, these 61 epiphones are crap, don’t let these YT vids steer you into one. Save a few more hundred and get yourself a used Gibson SG standard. The quality is way better, believe me. Go to GC and give both a go and you will see what I mean. The epiphone feels really cheap.
I owned the Gibson Standard SG, and currently own the Epiphone '61 SG Standard. The Epiphone is a superior guitar in every way. Better frets, better neck, equal pickups, and I like the satin finish better than the high-gloss nitro. And I HATE tiny frets with binding on the ends. Epiphone wins this one (at least with the '61).
Well, I just bought two used ESP Horizon NTs (one with the old block logo, one was a Japanese E-II import, the Amethyst Sparkle), and I paid less than my friend who got a new Eclipse LTD. So that’s the way to go if you ask me :)
I thought you were playing the gibson first. It sounds great. No need to put gibson pups in it. I can't stop watching these firebird videos. Pots are easy to change and cheap.
I find so hillarious that every vid on this guitar everyone is so extra gentle with the whammy bar hardly using it at all incase is goes out of tune hahahaha just a little tickle haha
Just got one today, and made my father in law try it. He has played pretty much every guitar laiho had at the time medeia and bodom did a tour together and said it feels incredibly similar to alexi's guitars.
